I was obsessed with Elvira as a little girl. I dressed up as her when I was about 7, balloon boobs, slit and all. I went to a church party dressed like her. I still wonder sometimes what they all thought, lol😂. My dad fanangled an Elvira cut out from the beer distributor for me, and we had it for years as a decoration. I've truly loved learning about Cassandra's life through her interviews and book. Thank you all for this episode!!!

Love this interview! I loooove that Bridget is such a genuine fan! When Elvira mentioned her Coors days, I started to think of how popular pumpkin beer is every fall and am shocked that Elvira hasn't yet brought out her own line of seasonal beer....I imagine it would be a huge success!

My husband is a big guy, over 6' and he has the worst sense of his surroundings because he never has to be scared. One time he had some weird guy that freaked him out at a store, it was such a bizarre experience. I noticed the guy before my husband because the guy was staring at my husband and you could tell the guy wanted to talk to my husband so badly he was almost vibrating. They have a weird interaction and we leave. The next week we are back at the same store and the same guy walks up behind my husband and whispers "another Friday night, huh?" My husband couldn't get out there fast enough! I told him he just had a small taste of what it's like being a woman.
@kristinaF546 ай бұрын
I'm guessing your husband is straight and the guy is hitting on him is gay? How does that relate to womens' experience of men hitting on them unless you only mean lesbian women? Because I'm a hundred percent certain if your husband was gay and a gay guy hit on him, he'd considerate it a compliment. Unfortunately logic plays no part in these arguments that straight women put forward comparing their experience of being hit on by men attracted to them with straight guys being hit on by homosexuals, and that's why people don't believe women.

OMG, you guys!!! Growing up (and well into my 30's) I was out in the sun, just burning away! I am a fair skinned blonde who grew up in the 70's & it was mandatory that you had a tan - and blonder hair. We didn't have tanning beds, but we did have "Sun In" hair lightening product & I'm surprised that all of our hair didn't fall out!! If we didn't have actual hair lightening product, we used - lemon juice - and held up a sun reflector with tin foil. Thank God for today's lasers!!!

Manifestation is real! There’s a reason so many (especially women!) are experiencing these epiphanies. Most won’t answer that call, but those who do (and keep their eyes and ears and hearts open!) will discover that your mission finds YOU! We are the zeitgeist, though we represent many classes and colors and creeds. There’s a clear fork in the road ahead, and we need leaders and visionaries to lead us towards the better path in our respective worlds! All that’s necessary is to make people start to question, for in questioning, we inevitably change. Just love this show! First and only podcast I’ve ever followed. 😊

I loved this interview so much!🖤 I grew up watching Elvira, my parents adored her (she was my dad’s dream girl lol.) I can quote Elvira’s Mistress of the Dark movie (1988 & I was born in ‘89) word for word bc it was part of my childhood & we watched it all the time lol. My dad kept a special edition beer case with Elvira on it (always hung up in our garage!) for almost as long as I can remember. Both of my parents died over the past few years & anything nostalgic like this just warms my heart.🥰 Elvira, my childhood icon..and Holly & Bridget, my teen year icons- all in one place.
