My dad was from Coruña so I’ve been there to see family many times and am heading back in June. Many Europeans and South Americans travel there….so it’s probably just under the radar for Americans. All of Galicia is amazing for sure….I love it❤️ Great video!

Spain is such a dream! So glad to have watched this, I also wanted to do solo travel to places like Paris and Greece. I always think that travel is made easier when you have the best travel gear and essentials too. The bento bag from Nomad Lane is my best carry-on bag for travels like this. Thought I'd share it with you guys too!

My grandparents were from La Coruña. They spoke the old Gallego dialect, which is similar to Portuguese. Many fond memories ! Great food, wine, and hospitality! I truly enjoyed the bagpipes and the stone houses in Pontevedra made me think of Ireland. Remarkable similarities ! I recently had my DNA done and found out I am Irish, English, and Scottish as well. Thank you for sharing! Best wishes! 🙏🥰

Gallego (Galician) and Portuguese were the same language (Galician-Portuguese) in the Middle Age, but since then, they evolved in different ways and they are now considered different languages. But we can still understand each other quite well :) Glad you have connections to Galicia!

How many days did it take you to go through all those places? Did you stay at each town you drove to at night or you had a central place to sleep? Any suggestions from you would be greatly appreciated as I wish to make a similar journey around Galicia and have interest in the historic sites.

BTW. The people mostly speak Spanish with "hints" of Gallego. Of course there are some that speak Gallego but they all learn Spanish first and Gallego 2nd. Remember, it is Galicia Spain. It is not a separate country. My family is from there. Sotomayor and Colon. Thanks for showing people my land!

Galicia is a hidden gem and should remain so. All those tourists who visit Galicia must remain silent. In Galicia there are beginning to be too many tourists and we don't want more. Only our Irish, Scottish and Breton cousins are welcome, they understand us and the soul of our land.

I understand this shallow uncultured US Americans nobody wants. It's the disrespect of which they are totally unaware, which is also repelling for other European nations. Areas like Galicia don't want to lose their original character. There are over 2000 years of culture like in many other European nations. The creator of the vid just speaks about beaches and food. No note about the culture like the pilgrimage paths, cathedrals or local festivities...

The audacity slatting stonehenge, In future refrain from slatting other historical world heritage sites. Disgraceful
@JC-uv1zy9 ай бұрын
The importance of Stonehenge lies in its antiquity and the mystery surrounding how it was constructed, which is no longer a mystery. It attracts only an audience knowledgeable in history and passionate about art history, as well as some eccentrics who believe in mysticism, so this girl's opinion is completely valid. Stonehenge may not be an ideal tourist destination, as she says, but no one doubts or denies its archaeological and historical significance.
