5:27 Maaan, I have a Contour RS with the Vivid Onyx and Infrared in the mail and it can't get here soon enough! Thanks for having videos such as this one to hold me over until it does.

Thanks for the good overview! I'm struggling with storm/overcast, low/flat light. I have the Giro contour RS with the two included lenses, but they aren't the low-light and don't give the pop that you would get with the old yellow lenses (knowing that Zeise has designed the band-pass to increase the contrast in a way that the old yellows can't do). So, the Smith Chromapop Storm Flash Yellow (from your video 6 years ago! Also thanks!), seems to do what I want, but would prefer not to spend another $200-300 for just the storm lens. Since, 6 years ago, the Flash Yellow was your favorite storm lens, how does the Giro vivid Infrared compare to the Flash yellow and does it give the same pop to pull out the features? Thank you!

Thanks for kind words! As far as lenses go, Giro's VIVID tech is one of the more underrated technologies when compared to legacy brands like Oakley and Smith. The Infrared low-light lens helps to amplify certain color wavelengths adding texture to flat light surfaces on low lit and overcast days. Some people prefer a yellow tint, but the subtle rose base of the Infrared lens does a great job of boosting contrast in similar environments.

I am moving from Oakley to Giro. I use the Oakley prizm rose for midwinter everyday. Which Giro lens is most similar for vlt and cloudy/flat?

Hi! Very cool, Giro's one of the most underrated brands when it comes to snow goggles. The Oakley Prizm Rose has a vlt of 26%. Giro's VIVID lens tech breaks up vlts into 4 categories. The S2 category of lens range from 19-42% vlt. The closest option to Prizm Rose in said category would be there VIVID Pink. Hope this helps!
