Been to Girona a couple of times but only seeing your channel just now. Great resource. Thank you. Heading back again in 2025. I'll save your vids for reference. Cheers from California.

Simon this is a fantastic channel -- thank you so much for sharing your ride experience of the Girona area. I'm looking forward to my first visit in about 2 weeks, and your route guides are top notch! Can't wait to try them out.

Many many thanks for the brilliant work, liked and subscribed .I'm planning to visit Girona this summer, and your channel is the only channel that is really educational, useful and helpful, other channels are not, (honestly). I'm really wondering that you have 543 subscribers only, something very wrong.

Yes. The low subs is sorta why I quit making new vids. They’re not cheap to produce and without an audience, not really worth it. Sad face.

What an excellent channel. I'm off out to Girona with my son in June for a cycling holiday so this is ideal. Many thanks Simon.

@@gironabikeridesroutesclimb749 Are there any bike rental companies you would suggest we use? We were going to take our own bikes but might just hire. Thanks
@gironabikeridesroutesclimb7492 жыл бұрын
@@bobkatanga I would recommend Eat Sleep Cycle, but I’d act fast. I made a booking for a bunch of mates at the end of May and rental bikes were available but in quite short supply.

Awesome channel We were in Girona in Feb/20 and had planned to go back this year. Your videos have brought back some great memories. We ‘re already planning to go back next year when the pandemic is (more or less) in the rear view mirror.

Do you think Els Angels and 'Corba are safe to descend with rim brakes or better to rent disc brake bike?

Planning to be there just after xmas till jan 5th. Whats the temperature like during that time of the year?
@gironabikeridesroutesclimb7493 жыл бұрын
Very cool overnight. Can be down as low as freezing. If the sun shines it can warm up nicely between about 11 and 2.

Perhaps not your focus, but one thing I found difficult in Girona is finding more casual riding options between villages for lunch, cafés, etc. It's impossible to tell which roads are more suitable from local maps. While the Via Verde routes are nice to have, finding where they start and end can also be a challenge and I've ended up in an industrial estate more than once. I prefer to cycle on quiet roads completely. For me, taking the train a few stops was the best option, but I am sure there are other choices (and the train does not go north or south)
@gironabikeridesroutesclimb7493 жыл бұрын
Hey Steve. I now have a video on how to use the train to cover more ground.
