I lived in many parts of Spain but something about Girona stole my heart. There is something special about it. Beautiful city and yet so quiet and peaceful. The 4 1/2 months I was there was some of my favorite time in Spain. Thanks for the video, I loved it.

+Logan Cherrington Thanks for your insight. We were there for three days and even in such a short time had a glimpse of these qualities. Glad the video captured it.
@sacroarte64626 жыл бұрын
Logan Cherrington Girona's old town ist just one street,(anybody can check Google maps and see by themselves) nothing special compare with hundreds of historical towns and cities across Spain and many of them with much much less tourists than Girona ,you don't see palaces,churches, or buildings of special interest in Girona, there's only one visitable church in Girona apart from the cathedral ,even the cathedral is quite simple for Spanish cathedrals standars,the sculptures of the facade are from the 1.960's... Girona is ok for just few hours (talking about the old town)...,The new modern neighbourhoods are just high rise concrete buildings with not charm at all.

sacroarte you’re wrong on so many counts. We have lived in Girona for quite a few years, the call is a lot of narrow lanes and streets, for just one thing.

Fantastic video :) One small correction, though the people there do speak castillian spanish, by far the most used language and traditional tongue there is catalan. Almost everyone speaks spanish as well though, and getting by with just spanish will be fine.
@blisteredcg8 жыл бұрын
Catalans speak catalan and castillian (spanish), they are bilinguals, they studied in both languages in the school. Girona is very proud Catalan city, so catalan language is widely spoken.

I notice all the catalonian flags hanging from the houses, like symbols of a desired and pursued liberty from the "meseta". Could it be that Catalonia will at some point be independent? or is it just a minority that wants to walk alone?
