Very important point you raised about having to lower the hammer manually. If you have a ND in a rural environment, no big deal if you had the muzzle pointed in a safe direction. In the city, expect an interview with the police and if you rent, you'll be in the market for a new place.

That is true. Something I’ve always thought about for people wanting to carry in double action with guns that don’t have a decocker

I got the MC14 G84 version two-tone for $279, and love it. The DA is 6.25# and the SA is 3# and just so smooth and crisp. I accidentally double all the time in SA and it’s just a ragged hole or maybe 1/4” apart at 7Y. I’m gonna be testing out my 32ACP conversion barrel this week-should be even more fun.
