Real MP5 probably different over time, but for most of us it will be semi. Have a B&T Gen 1 GHM9 & a an early DS import TP 9 and both are as reliable, accurate and robust as the HK stuff. Being the owner of a very inexpensive 9MM PCC, I’m not sure of any 9MM PCCs POU. (Philosophy of Use) I love my Hi-Point 995TS and with OEM approved 20 round RedBall Sports Magazines, it’s a very dependable, accurate, fun PCC. It eats everything without any problems. But that wasn’t my only 9MM PCC. In 2018 I bought a KelTec Sub2000 (Glock mags only) and it was a true “Jam-O-Magic”. I sent it back under warranty, and it returned 3 months later only slightly better. Only half the time it would it run an OEM 17 round Glock magazine without jamming. I sold it for what I paid, and yes I did disclose its issues. As the owner of 3 Ruger firearms, I gave the Ruger PC-9 a try with a good friends rifle, but it felt cheap and the receiver with magazines installed fit very loosely with significant play. It was accurate, reliable and fun to shoot, but wasn’t any better than my Hi-Point other than it is a take down rifle. The Chiappa sure sounds interesting, (I have one of their SAA) but it has many bad reviews, and I have yet to shoot one. As for the more expensive PCC’s, I just don’t have any desire to spend $800+ on a firearm without a defined POU. I’ll stick with my 9MM pistols as sidearms, my AR-15s as battle rifles, and my .308 hunting rifles for long distance. For my hiking trips into the wilderness, I bring my Rossi R92 Lever Action rifle and a GP100 along with a Browning Buckmark and plenty of .357MAG and 22LR. It may not be 9MM, but the Rossi R92 with 10 rounds of .357MAG is the perfect old-fashion PCC, and a perfect companion to the GP100.

The Ruger PC model 19122 tactical with a 16" barrel is a phenomenal weapon system for home defense and security. It is very accurate, strong built, a bit heavy towards the barrel, which mitigates recoil. Also, the 16" barrel length muffles the sound report quite noticeably, making it ideal for indoors security use, whereas a 5.56 cal will blow your ear drums. I highly recommend the Ruger PC.

One thing about the JR Carbine is that if you get an older one the takedown is incredibly inconvenient. You need a castle nut wrench and other tools. They also stress only using graphite lube in their literature. They do shoot great and are a lot of fun and won't break the bank. I just couldn't get my hands on a newer one with the takedown lever. Traded mine in for an APF-9.

Ive had a Ruger PC Charger set up to suit me for about $1400 total and ive shot probly 1000 rds flawlessly. Puts on average 46 outta 50 in a 8" paper plate at 25 yards. Also when taken down i can get all of it plus speedloader, box ammo and small accessories in a 14" x 10" nylon tool bag. Most fun had in while. Also it has 2 receivers so can fit LOT of diff mags.

I have two Just Right Carbines, a 9mm and a 45ACP. My experience with them combined with this video confirmed for me they are keepers. The only negative I have found with them is they are a bit of a pain to disassemble and reassemble for cleaning.
@aholegunner3 жыл бұрын
Im a bit surprised they did not cover the following 9mm carbines: Aero Precision AR9, Spikes tactical AR9, Foxtrot Mike FM9, BCA AR9(I think BCA makes one, I could be wrong). The Aero Precision just came out in 2020. The Spikes has been out for a while, I actually own one and they are fantastic. BTW Im 100% happy with this video they did. I am not complaining. This is their channel and not mine. They did a fantastic job on this vid.

I know this video is over a year old but I have to comment: The B&T GHM9 Compact Gen 2 9mm with the Glock lower and Telescoping Tailhook brace is absolutely superb IMHO. The price point was kind of sting at 2k but when I got my hands on it…..The fit and finish is amazing. Disassembly and maintenance is very easy. Most importantly it is an absolutely sweet shooter. Buy once cry once indeed. I honestly wish I bought 2 of these.

Excellent video. I built a Colt AR variant with our beloved Anderson receivers, Hann Block, CMMG ramped bolt and Faxon Barrels. Uppers I run are Anderson non forward assist receivers with a 16" Faxon barrel upper, a 10.5" Faxon Barrel upper, and im building a 4.5" Faxon Barrel upper with a 3 lug mount. The lighter you go the more you feel the moving mass so I will be switching to a Maxim Gen7 CQB / JP captured spring and removing the lead from the CMMG ramped bolt. I found this vid doing research for the latest upgrades (Maxim CQB, JP spring, and finding 10" rail that will fit over my 4.5" barrel paired with a Rugged Obsidian 9 on the 3 lug) Ive narrowed it down to two rails, Faxon's CF 10" or the Griffin SR-Rigid 10.5. Thanks for all the great info.

I’ve always liked my Ruger PCC because it’s like shooting a 10/22 but bigger. It’s not the best, it did eventually require some M*CARBO parts to keep it running right, but I started shooting a 10/22 when I was 7. So it’s familiar. And it takes glock mags.

My favorite is the semi auto Uzi carbine. When 9mm was cheap I liked shooting that because of the money I saved when I just wanted to blast at some steel swinger. I was getting surplus 32 round mags for around $8. There's a decent amount of accessories out there for the platform if that's your thing. Uziel Gal rest in piece.
