In most Mehfile Sama, Ghazal like qawwali such as this are kept for the latter half of the night. Followed at the end with Aaj Rang Hai as the last qawwali of the night. The first time I've ever heard of this qawwali was a live in-home recording from my Grand Father. As it were to happen, Ghulam Fareed Sahib used to come to my Dad's house pretty frequently since he knew my Grand Father and his Sufi group pretty well.
The recording must have taken place sometime around 1969 or so. This is a much later and a commercial version of that. The poet very unassuming mentions how he is fearful at every stage of life and not someone who can bear the tortures of life all alone. But that he calls out to whom he loves and that alone gives him comfort.

Translation: Why Should I Label The Sadness Of Life As Hard?
Since He Remained With Me All Along, Where Ever I Passed
Haira'n Hu, Lab Se Naam Yeh Kis Ka Nikal Gaya
Kashti Ko Meri Thaam Ke, Toofa'n Sanmbhal Gaya
Translation: I'm Surprised, Whose Name Just Came To My Lips
Even The Storm Became Calm When It Held My Boat
Mai Khaar To Hai Mohtasibe Shehr Ziyada
Rindo'n Ne Yu'nhi Muft Mein Ilzam Liyaa Hai
Translation: The Mayor Of The City Is Himself An Alcoholic
The Drunkards Have Been Blamed For No Reason
Vo Mil Na Sake Yaad To Hai Un Ki Salamat
Iss Yaad Se Bhi Ham Ne Bohot Kaam Liya Hai
Translation: His Love Wasn't Gained, But At Least His Memories Are
Even From These Memories, I've Gotten A Lot Done
Teri Yaad Aisi Hai Bawafa, Passe Marz Bhi Na Huwi Juda
Teri Yaad Mai Hamm Mitgaey, Teri Yaad Dil Se Nikli Nahi
Translation: Your Memories Are So Loyal, Never Abandoned Even After Death
I've Been Erased With Your Memories, But Your Memories Never Left My Heart
Dil Vo Abaad Nahi, Jiss Mei Teri Yaad Nahi
Hai Vo Kaafir Jo Teri Raah Mei Barbaad Nahi
Translation: That Heart Never Flourishes, Which Is Void of Your Remembrance
He Is Non-Believer, That Has Not Been Devastated In Your Pursuit
Aey Khyaale Yaar, Tere Damm Ki Khair Ho
Har Khyaal Mei Meri, Duniya Basi Rahi
Translation: Oh Thoughts Of Friend, May You Remain Safe
Every Thought Of Mine, Has The Whole World Residing Within
Har Marhalaey Gham Mein Mili Iss Se Tasalli
Har Mord Pe Ghabra Ke Tera Naam Liya Hai
