I played melee when I played split and the weapon choices were pretty bad. I made most of the weapons but for most of hardmode and pre hardmode I just used the Stella. All the other weapons felt pretty weak

I just realized the Solstice weapon is a reference to an indie game named oneshot the name of the true ending where the main character finds her way back home. This is backed up by an enemy in the mod named One-shot

Chikage is a reference to a weapon from Bloodborne of the same name. Summit Breaker might also be a reference to Hot Red Dragon Archfiend Bane from Yu-Gi-Oh! since it uses an attack titled “Great Summit Breaker” but the reference to Summit Shaper is more probable considering they had already implemented a weapon from Genshin. Also I noticed that Starlight Breaker’s laser attack makes the same noises as Providence’s lasers from the Calamity Mod.

There are some smaller references in the weapons as well. Momento Mori carries a striking resemblance to Dante’s “Rebellion” with it’s skull mid part and “v” cross guard, and Burn My Dread is a direct reference to Persona 3. Bury the Light is also the name of Vergil’s theme song from DMC 5

I found 2 genshin impact references the Stella Fortuna and Welking the Stella Fortuna is a item every character has their different version of the Stella Fortuna it is used to unlock the character’s constellations as for Welking I think it’s a reference to Welkin Moon which is something you can buy using money in genshin impact I most likely missed some I only started genshin impact one month ago well unless the claymores count since in genshin greatswords are called claymores

I just finished a melee run with split mod and I found the terraquet to be the best endgame weapon in terms of dps (though I haven't tried starbreaker at the end). I basically used the stella fortuna yoyo up to golem until I got the terra raquet.
