if using windows.... find the vscode file on your computer under c\users\ copy the file search on your computer - environment variable click new paste file into both boxes save close then open terminal Fixed

Thanks for this video. Though I'm new to the entire concept, I'm able to understand most of it. As I installed on Windows I saw Git GUI, Git CMD and Git Bash. I would like to know the difference between the three and how to use them.

whenever I try creating a file it shows this error " touch newfile.js touch : The term 'touch' is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet, function, script file, or operable program. Check the spelling of the name, or if a path was included, verify that the path is correct and try again. At line:1 char:1 + touch newfile.js + ~~~~~ + CategoryInfo : ObjectNotFound: (touch:String) [], CommandNotFoundException + FullyQualifiedErrorId : CommandNotFoundException" got any idea why? cause I just create the file on the vs code instead.

Fantastic video and timely since I'm working through a Coursera certification that includes Version Control. Your Mac terminal doesn't look anything like the one on my MPB, what is it and where can I find it. Also, it looks like Visual Studio Code at one point, (when you ran the "Code ." command - it that correct? If not PLEASE share your truth. Have a great day an keep the outstanding videos coming. I was disappointed in the lack of Linux instructions, but for Debian (and derivatives) users, its just sudo apt install git. Which, if you've already been using the terminal to manage apps, is thankfully extremely easy (and you'd know to do sudo apt update beforehand). And it looks like Mac OS commands are the same as in Linux. (It's a UNIX thing, right?)
