The queen wasn’t in danger when it was threatened by discovered check because then black had back rank checkmate

Either the oppoent looses the queen or atleast an exchange!

​@TheMultiLibra exactly. There is nothing to stop knight off first rank to connect the rooks before the discovered check. Even if king retreats to e7, the best that can be achieved is queen/rook exchange
