spray headlight with bug repellant like 'off' or any brand , wipe with paper towel , and it looks 100 percent better in 30 seconds of effort , can see the globs of yellow on paper towel , sounded so stupid till i did it , still wonder who figured it out and why it was ever tried

You shouldn't do that. The reason all that yellow comes off is because the Deet in the bug spray is actually dissolving the plastic, doesn't last and causes more damage to the lens in the long run.

Всё делается проще и дешевле из пустой пивной банки. Заливается ацетон , нагревается феном и через трубочку пар ацетона направляется на фару . Только потом нужно покрывать лаком или полиуретановой плёнкой иначе через месяц фара снова будет мутной .

Piszesz że prościej jest na samym acetonie ale że bardzo szybko zmętnieje. Zaraz potem dodajesz że można użyć np lakieru dla zabezpieczenia. A czy widzisz że rozpuszcza styropian? Ten styropian z oparami acetonu działa jak "head and schoulders" 😂 rozgrzane pary acetonu z czasteczkami styropianu rozpuszczają mikropory powierzchni reflektora i stygnąc tworzą dobrą przeźroczysta mikropowłoke anty UV. Autor filmu zrobił materiał niechlujnie i niedbale nie poinformował o acetonie czy o styropianie. Założyl że każdy "wie" tylko po co w takim razie cały materiał? Pozdrawiam swiatecznie z okazji swiąt bożego narodzenia.

Así es con el poliuretano disuelto en la acetona no hay que usar nada más, y lo del filtro de gasolina pueden usar uno viejo, o en su defecto una lata de refresco o cerveza, pero con el compuesto de acetona y poliuretano, no con la acetona sola porque después debes usar un transparente y no es la idea, saludos

Acetone. Acetone can do some serious damage to plastics if not careful. I regret watching this vid I was expecting something new. I got an easier way to make headlights look like new. Just use metal polish and then wax it. if you want your lights to not yellow for a while you will need to give it a clear coat. But if you detail your car often just add it to your regimen. buff with polish and wax it. I use Brasso. It does an amazing job. I use brasso for alot of things.

This is a pointless waste of time. I refinish my headlamps once a year without sanding them. Just buy some rubbing compound such as Faracla, apply it with a damp cloth and rub over the lens for a minute or two. All the discolouration comes straight of and just polish it to a shine. It took me about ten minutes total to do both headlamps and the car passed the annual inspection with no problems at all.

Using a type of plastic which most of the newer composite headlights are made from allows more shapes than glass did and supposedly at a cheaper price. I can understand the greater variety of shapes but the price? I find composite headlights are extremely expensive.
