It’s not the special detergent did the job , it’s the sand paper has and the polish that has made it cleaner and brighter. Any alkaline soapy detergent will do while using sandpaper to remove dirt, or just water and fine sand paper.

I did that with my headlights too. And what people say here is true, you don't need any chemicals. Sandpaper Water and machine polishing is enough. But it's not a permanent solution either. My headlights are already showing a yellowish shimmer on the top surface. The problem is this......... The cover of most modern headlights is made of polycarbonate, which is coated with a very thin, transparent scratch protection layer. Depending on the design, this coating can also protect against the yellowing effect of UV rays. And that's why it only makes sense to me to sand the headlights 100%. After sanding the headlights, first apply an adhesion promoter for polycarbonate, because most (plastic) headlights are made with it, and after drying, apply one or two thin layers of clear varnish so that the UV protection for the headlight surface is restored. You can of course also add a plasticizer to the clear varnish to increase the stone chip protection for the headlights. I am also aware that this suggestion is primarily for those who have trained as a painter. But there are also enough people who can do this suggestion without daily training as a car painter. Этого эффекта можно добиться и без заморочек с жижой просто поливая водой 😂. Но вот незадача этого эфекта хватит максимум на пол года а если тереть руками так и вообще на пару месяцев перепалировал десятки таких фат. Наилучший ефект это когда затираеш 1000 наждачкой и покрываеш её сначала пропиткой для пластика чтобы адгезия была а потом лаком и эффект как у новых .
