Thank you Father, this is a wonderful suggestion to pray the Angulis. I will be going through 4 chemotherapy treatments during Lent and I have surrendered my worries unknowingly how my body will react during this time. Thank you Lord God for the many blessings throughout this time of trials. Amen 🙏🛐🕯

I did chemo last Lent. I feel your worries about not knowing how your body going to react. Drink lots of water before and during treatment and after. Eat as healthy as you can, especially plant based. Do what you can and surrender the rest to the Lord. He wants you to trust him. He is with you. Like Joseph sold into slavery in Egypt. He lost the comforts of his life and suffered. But better than the other slaves and prisoners cuz God was with him. And finally in the end he was restored. Big hug to you. I'll be praying for victory in your battle.

Patricia..4 times a day on radio Maria..at 6a.m.too right after the 1st rosary of the day ...which is sometimes the last rosary for me !! 5 rosary's a day 2 Divine Mercies..1 Chaplet to St Michael the Archange.(10 past midnight) and the Divine office..I think 5 times a day..including the examen and night prayer...It's a really brilliant resource to get one into a habit of prayer..and have people praying along with you.

This is such a beautiful proposition. Just last week, while praying the Angelus, it hit me that not only when Mary received God’s will in her life, the Word became Flesh. We, too, when abandon ourselves to God’s will, allow for His Word to become “flesh”; that is, His Word manifest physically in our lives and in lives of those around us through us. Wishing you all Lent full of immersion in God’s Will.

On September 17, 2021 I was cycling early in the morning and was hit by a truck. I suffered multiple injuries, including a traumatic brain injury, spinal fractures and serious damage to my pelvis. I have no recollection of the first 6 weeks of my hospital stay and returned home just before Christmas 2021. In January 2022 I had to be operated on for a bowel obstruction and now in January 2023, my right hip has failed. I have returned to walking with a cane and my orthopedic surgeon has decided to replace my hip. My surgery date is April 4th. I only have a month to go but I am going through a period of darkness and discouragement. Father Philippe’s book, especially the chapter on Peter’s tears has helped me find hope through what Father Philippe calls « radical poverty ». That chapter was written for me. Thanks so much for Poco a Poco and your inspiring discussions. Kevin Winnipeg, Canada

Ash Wednesday is not a Holy day of obligation but such a good way to start the Lenten season. In 🇿🇦 parishes have very early Masses at 5/6an for working people. The usual 9&10am Mass and evening Mass usually at 7pm. Not sure if your parish provides this.

2 Tim 3:5 They will hold to an Outward Form of godliness but Deny its "POWER". Stay away from such people. >You love to show off to people that you're godly person, but you refused to be controlled by the Holy Spirit. >You want to be noticed by people that you are godly person. But what you do is not of God's. Romans 1:16-17 I have complete confidence in the Gospel; it is God's "POWER" to save all who believe, first the Jews and also the Gentiles. For the gospel reveals how God puts people right with himself... Romans 8:5-8 Those who live as their human nature tells them to, have their minds controlled by what human nature wants. Those who live as the Spirit tells them to, have their minds controlled by what the Spirit wants. To be controlled by human nature results in death; to be controlled by the Spirit results in life ans peace. And so people become enemies of God when they are controlled by their human nature; for they cannot obey God's law, and in fact they cannot obey it. Those who obey their human nature cannot please God Mark 7:7; Matthew 15:9 It is NO use for them to WORSHIP me, BECAUSE they TEACH HUMAN rules as THOUGH they were MY laws!

Some of us have had life experiences which are more out of the ordinary than what the average person has gone through so far in life. While continuing to experience a kind of series of aftershocks in both our body and in what our lifestyle looks like to others sometimes too. Since not all of us can succeed in doing things out of the ordinary to only entertain people if a person like that were to admit to people what they have already lived through who would believe them if they have remained in the same nation which they have been born in. And so say if a woman like that of 5 feet 11 or so who has been through a lot without being able to entertain through dance were to admit that their occupation is a welder now after emigrating here from another nation then what kind of advice and tone would be offered to them after that? (Not me that is someone else I know)

Father, I love your content but it makes me sad you think blind people cannot take care of themselves. My husband is blind. He had a job teaching Physics at University. He can take care of himself. At a homily 2 years ago at our parish Father started with ‘imagine how awful it would be to be blind.’ That is not how we as pro life people should treat those with disabilities. The biggest challenge he faces in his blindness is not that he can’t see, but that others do not see his worth.
