I've done this with a bunch of 1/2 scrap strips. I laid them diagonally. You really can use whatever you have. The finished products look so cool💞

Thank you for your video. I did these same techniques gluing paper/scraps on paper first, hadn't tried gluing strips together; it makes a great look. I recycled my old Christmas cards also! This is so much easier & creative. Thank you so much for your inspiration!!

I use copy paper as a base for my scraps, with all the layers of cards it makes for a lighter base. Your cards look lovely!

I've watched numerous videos on making base pages and never liked anything they made. They were all so random to me didn't make sense to me if you know what I mean. Yours were all pleasingly cohesive. They were actually something I could see myself using. I liked your ideas and process.. Thanks for sharing. Glad I didn't give up and kept looking for ideas.

Hi, I am just about to go through last years Christmas cards to reuse what I can but I never thought of using the Christmas card pieces as a background. I had bought A4 office sticker sheets online and stuck my paper scraps onto them then ran them through am embossing folder, no one seems to have noticed they are made of scraps, great for thankyou cards with a sentiment. YAY! You used the idea for your Christmas cards! Love how they turned out! I went ahead and posted the pics in the group . I have not made anything else with the cards yet, Been sorting through my fabric stash the past two days, But I DID clean off the craft table! I am thinking some of these will end up in a "junk journal" too!

Love this idea for using scraps and also xmas cards. I cut up my Xmas cards and try to make new ones and send them to the same people. Thought it might be fun to see if those people recognized the card as one they had sent me and i had built upon!
