This is really fantastic. So much you can do with the Cubase stock plugins. I had no idea there are so many delay effects which are extremely useful already out of the box. The vocal chain you have there sounds absolutely amazing!

The advice of the low and high filter on the reverb was really useful thank you ! The last thing you want to do is add mud to the mix. 👍🙂

I like the way you get creative with the plugins without going overboard and the track sounds great.

When you high and low pass with stock eq, is it before or after insert? Mainly thought of when you used Multi tap delay.

I have really enjoyed using slap on vocals. I also use a 1/4 note delay as a send, panned 100% to one side. I use that to various instruments just to give it extra depth without adding too much muddying of a mix that reverb can add

Splendid video as per Chris. Oh my days...the Multi Tap Delay is the bomb! The amount of hours I've played with it, is ridiculous...love it. I haven't seen anything like it anywhere, on any other DAW 'stocks'. An absolute gem.

I enjoyed this. I like seeing DAW mixing demos with "stock" plugins. Today. Years ago, many stock plugins were not that grand to use... they were a stop gap until you could afford something better. Now I feel like 3rd party plugins have become stagnant while DAW programmers have started to really improve the stock plugins.

Totally right! Cubase stock is unbelievable. It.comes with Sooo much stuff that is more than perfectly useable, is actually excellent. Especially the new Frequency EQ with overlay from other sounds, sidechain frequency ducking and dynamic EQ all in one. I'm actually sad they dropped some! I used to use Quadrafuzz One on everything but it disappeared on version 5 and was replaced with one that doesn't sound the same.

You do a great job Chris! Teaching in Cubase stock plugins is brilliant. Song is dope! Q for you… how much of your time is spent on video creation vs straight music production? I’m new to videos… and they are so time consuming, I feel like it could actually pull me away from moving forward with my music… Curious how you balance your work?

Have you tried the new Vocal Chain in Cubase 13 yet? I would be interested to know if this is really better than individual plugins. There's so much integrated that I'm a bit skeptical. From other YT's you only hear "exciting" and "super great" but without actually demonstrating that it delivers really good results. Thanks for your great videos!

Hi Chris, BRILLIANT - as always! Thank you for sharing all your experiences. You do it in a very clear and understandable way! I saw on your mixer the channel "NY Comp". Would you mind to explain that how you set this up? I presume it's the way of compress the drums what came up in the 90ies? Cheers, keep on doing the sterling work!
