Love the look that the second technique produced. I have never thought of that. About stamp platforms...back in the dark ages, when I first got into stamping and all stamps were wood mounted red rubber and $15 bought ONE stamp instead of a stamp set, I finally gave up that part of paper crafting because I simply could not produce a complete, straight image...even with the Stamp-a-ma-jig. I worked in mixed media and scrapbooking for years until finally returning to stamping when photopolymer stamps and stamp platforms came on the scene. Truth be told, I still can’t stamp worth a good gosh darn using an acrylic block! Anyway, TFS. 💕 from new subbie in Colorado 🇺🇸

Oh my gosh, a stamp positioner was a game changer for me too, and I was stamping without one for...maybe 3 months? Free range stamping (as Cathy Zielske puts it) is not my gift! I really like your idea of using the outline of the die cut to make a loose watercolor-y background. That's a really fun way to stretch a layering set. And that first card is almost dreamy with the soft colors and all the little dots. Thanks for sharing with us! (US)
