Finally someone built a bike in this style that doesn't have a stupidly large looking square gap inside it, they've actually put that "R1" mesh stuff in there - makes it look actually quite damn cool 👍 I actually think the build quality is top-notch, the colour too - I love it. Seems adequately fast for a stock e-bike as well, 33-34 mph is really all you need, I bet it would go faster with more 'slick' style road tyres on it as well - the seat & front & rear suspension look great too - its a great looking e-bike.

@@StayConnectedEV it got me wondering about it's hill pulling capabilities, but then I thought 'well, he's a big guy at 240 pounds, so maybe it's ok' (no disrespect 👍) - I think you pretty much covered everything but a long range test & how long it takes to charge, just stuff like that really... "Maximum charge" on his Vids usually has a certain place he does a hill test for every bike he reviews, maybe something like this as it gives the viewer a good benchmark as to how each bike fairs in terms of capabilities to other very similar e-bikes, I may have missed it but it might help to occasionally put the price up on screen (at the top periodically - as not to be annoying) so the viewer has the occasional reminder of how much it is, and the discount code as most ppl won't bother to look into the channel for the price & code - I think this is where a lot of KZbinrs reviewing e-bikes get it slightly wrong... A visual reminder sticks in your mind better than just a mere mention. It looks like a great e-bike though, great quality! Great review too, good editing and very clear picture on my lg c2 oled 👍

trying to decide between this and the five star. I know the five star is probably more practical and better for exercise but I just like the look and build of this more. I also am considering the Motor Goat but it doesn't look like knobbies would fit under the fenders...could take them off but still.

Maybe Customer Service is good, but it looks like the warehouse is not packing the bike good enough because that should have never happened if they packed it well

Ride1up had contacted me about giving me a Portola everything was going fine until I asked him if I could pay for the bigger battery then I got ghosted I recently contacted him about trying to get this bike and got no response. Oh well, I’m small. I get it. Does the rotors have round cooling holes in them? I have found that that stile makes the noise. I don’t particularly like the noise. I would really like it if some company sent me a bike similar to this style. I have never tried one other than Bruce’s Goat. Thanks DAVE for another fantastic review. ❤ maybe someday we can meet up somewhere and take a ride you’re in Rhode Island right?

I’ll definitely check the rotors today and let you know. Honestly I think you should try again pinging them I had similar Issue and I think the partner team does other jobs than the influencers. I’d be shocked they changed their mind. I’m actually in NJ and would love one day to meet up!!! It would be cool if we can get Bruce too!

More and more of the manufacturers are putting XT 60 connectors in their bikes so adding a second battery is not that hard anymore and I do not believe you would be voiding the warranty if it’s a plug-in play. And I use the end of changing the gears on most bikes. Because I believe the manufacturers are trying to give you the middle of the road gearing and it doesn’t work for me.

Agreed. Ride1up makes the kit. I’m speaking changing with bigger motors. Too dangerous on this bike.

I want to buy this. It looks amazing but I’m looking at the P 51. I think it has better suspension when you went over the rough terrain. It sounded like your vocal cords were vibrating.😂👍🏽

HILL 😂 what hill lol🤦🏽‍♂️ I do love the look of it but it’s a little underpowered and so is the P 51 but the company is trying to keep it legal. I just want the P5 one for my old bones. I heard it has the best suspension in the business.👍🏽 I was at the electrify Expo in California and I never got a chance to ride it
