I have a few from the line including this one i probably spray once every year 😅 ...you know when you own a big collection you can wear a different scent every day. But it is a good one from the house no doubt about it.I personally love the now discontinued fresh summer edition givenchy gentleman parisian break. Nice lemon mint sage vetiver and androxan. It's great spring summer staple in my rotation its a freshy that smells almost floral gets attention everytime i wear it. Also, from the play line, the play intense is unique and dark .very nice night time leather jacket scent. 👌 thank you Marc 🐐 great unboxing video.

Great review 👍🏾Marc!! This is one that I love and I purchased my bottle in 2022 as well. Love the scent and I get 10+ hours of longevity on my skin. And Gevinchy PI EDP would be awesome!! Let's pray it happens 🙏🏽.

I really like Givenchy Gentleman Réserve 😮Privée. When I was watching this video i was wearing Givenchy Pi and I felt like trying out layering Givenchy Gentleman Réserve Privée with that but as I was about to grab the bottle I changed my mind and grabbed a scent I'm addicted to, namely Gucci Guilty Absolute. I must say that Givenchy Pi layered with Gucci Guilty Absolute was really nice.

An excellent release! For me it does deliver on the whiskey. It’s not overt but I think it is hinted at - the sweet caramel aspects of a finely aged spirt. And then there is the sumptuous hazelnut/chestnut aspect that makes this a total delight! It’s like whiskey and Ferrero Rocher got together and made a beautiful baby! 🥃🌰 Great to see Robes review this beauty! 👍

I absolutely love the Privee for the office , just gets me excited to put my nose on the DHI which i never heard of until now . Thanks for the video. I know in this fragrance game to each his own, but i dont know why I was hoping you liked the Privee , because of how much I enjoy it as a stable non-offensive office fragrance and full disclosure I just started buying fragrances and this was my first purchase that became a instant crush and now has a sentimental value to me HA HA ... Oh and I agree , not too sure about the booze .. I dont get that as well being a "new nose" . And my ONLY critique of Privee has been the "power" of the fragrance , I have to bring it with me to the office to re-apply after lunch so another reason to check out that DHI . TY again

It does have whiskey. A lot of it actually. Just not the boozy “spirit” vibe that’s obvious in others. I have Oak essential oil (whiskey barrel) and whiskey lactone (nutty caramelic)raw materials and this has a big dose of both.

There's something right at the beginning of the fragrance, like the first 30-90 seconds...and then it just dries down to regular Gentleman EDP. At the duty free, I was deciding between this and the EDP and went with RP because it's ever so slightly different. I'm glad you mentioned DHI, because that's the first thing I think of with the Gentleman line.

From the Gentleman Line, Reserve Privee is Top Notch, but I agree DHI or DHP are "Better". However, if you just want various iterations of Iris within your collection then sure, pick them all up. Like Carolina Herrera Pasion. A Spicy/Peppery Iris. So nice.

I have a tester bottle and that have the notes listed on the back. Benzoin and vetiver are the base notes. Cedar and iris in the heart and bergamot and chestnut in the opening. Whisky is not even a note. But for some reason it appears on Fragrantica and Parfumo

Its because the notes on Fragrantica for every fragrance are a complete bogus voted on by people who need to visit the nose doctor. They are not official notes provided by the brand, they are notes that the Fragrantica users "feel" are in there.

Either go for DHP or DHI when making a choice. GRP is Okay-ish but really I dont really see a point to make that choice when one can have Dior at disposal. Honorable mention, that adopted by DHP opening vibe is BOSS: The Collection - Magnetic Musk with very nice longevity.

@@_Makunyane DHP is currently sold at around 150-200 USD for 100ml in Europe. Very few resellers are selling them below 150usd, and if they do, they tend to sell quickly. DHI is still in decent price range 100ml/100USD, so a lot of people are simply going for it.

I agree it’s missing the booze. I love whiskey and I don’t get that here. This is a nutty Iris vanilla scent to me. It’s nice and I wear it sometimes. I don’t regret buying it but it’s not in the same echelon as the Diors. I actually get decent sillage and longevity on this.

I don´t know because I don´t understand anything about fragrances. But Givenchy Gentleman Reservé Privée reminds me somehow of Chanel Pure Monsieur. I don´t know why. Someone feels the same?? It´s feels the same kind of fragrance family.

Hang on...so you haven't smelled Pi Extreme? I actually preferred it to the original when it came out in 2015 precisely because it was darker. Certainly would be interesting to get another flanker, but ever since getting an older bottle of the original, I really like the piney freshness that it offers. Actually more of an almond freshie than a gourmand. The newest reform is far more base heavy. Reserve Prive my current fav of the Gentleman line (eventhough I still prefer the Gentlemen Only line), and I wouldn't be surprised if it got its own flankers very soon. Reserve Elixir perhaps? 🤔

This is really nice. Not very sweet, play doh iris vibes, smooth, masculine. I also don't get boozy vibes, maybe the whiskey does a sharp woody cocoa liquor vibe. Not as powerful as DHI, agree.

for me the whole line can be summarized in two words - "no performance". There are nice scents here and there, but they always stay on the safer side of any notes they include, and they always disappoint massively with their lack of projection and staying power.
