Hi Lexi! Happy New Year and thank you again for another great video! I just wanted to take this opportunity to share with you that I had the chance to stop by the Hakuhodo showroom in Torrance, California a few weeks ago. I was in the LA area for a few days and decided to drive a bit south from the westside of LA to take advantage of my time there. I believe this is the only Hakuhodo showroom outside of Japan and it is in LA owing to a relationship between the company and a local resident. The visits are by appointment only and booked online. Easy to do. I was there for about one hour and I enjoyed seeing all of the many brushes in person. They have samples of each brush on display so that one can touch and feel them. The sales assistant who advised me was very knowledgeable. She shared with me that they do indeed have many visitors including make-up artists, some of whom work in LA and many others from outside the area. Apparently, most professionals know about the showroom. I asked her what were the most purchased brushes by professionals and she stated that the professionals prefer to buy most of their brushes from the basic lines, as opposed to the brushes with the more expensive handles. This makes sense. But, from time to time, the pros do purchase the very expensive pieces (and the Hello Kitty travel brushes) as gifts for their clients. How fun! Anyway, the sales assistant mentioned to me that the company does travel to make-up shows from this west coast location. Apparently, there is a large show coming up in NYC (The Makeup Show NYC) from approximately April 28th (Friday) through May 1 (Monday). The sales assistant confirmed to me that Hakuhodo (from LA) has plans to be at this show and have a booth with their brushes. I thought I would let you know owing to your east coast location. Perhaps you already know about this show and have been before as you are "in the business." The Hakuhodo sales assistant seemed to suggest it is a large show with a great deal of product brought to NYC by creators/manufacturers. Anyway, I thought you might be interested. Warm regards.....

My favorite Givenchy lipsticks are their Deep Velvet formula. Are these better than those? Otherwise, I think I will pass, since I have the holiday color in this formula and all the other colors in the Deep Velvet. Especially since I just picked up a few of the Chanel and the Hourglass. I also really like that the Cle de Peau colors lean more cool!

I think the Deep Velvets are better and more unique. These are a great satin matte formula but I don't think they are as unique personally. Stick with what you have!

Hi Lexi! Thanks for featuring these new Givenchy lipsticks. All the shades look great on you. Thanks especially for showing how shades that have the same name look different in the other formulations. In the end, although I love the black leather case, I will stick with Givenchy’s velvet matte formulation, which I discovered through you (I would never have tried it otherwise).

I still have the old formula of the Le Rouge satin. I’m wondering if these new ones are as good as the older ones. Love the formula of the old one. On another subject, I received my Hourglass lipstick I’m gonna be in the minority here, I did not care for the formula. It wears off quickly, and settle into lip lines, I thought I didn’t have! I’m returning it, and I never return lipsticks. For that price, it had to be decent for me. So many other lipsticks that I have tried are much better. Now, I think I have to try the Velvets.

I agree with you about the Hourglass. I think they are okay but I didn't love them either. As for the Givenchy Le Rouge satin, I think those are a bit shinier than these and a little thicker/creamier in texture. Overall they are both good but it really depends upon your textural preferences.

I think I did but unfortunately I have 3 defective ones. Hopefully it was just from the initial launch and they are better now.
