This video shows the Installation of the Lora Data Transmitter device.
The AC coupled Inverter needs to read the data from the grid supply and normally is connected by 2 core screened cable, If your existing PV system is remote from your main house, the Lora device can transmit the data wirelessly.

Thanks for the vid, really helpful and especially the LoRa device. Do they only work with GivEnergy batteries or can others use them? I have the same detached garage with solar issue (but not a smart!)

The AC coupled can be used for connecting to existing Solar PV systems, also with the GivEnergy system you get 3kw of power into your home, where as the Hybrid system only provides 2.6kw of power.

@@mikeyboy01443 Not from what I can see on the data sheet. It specifies 80A maximum discharge. So 80*240 gives you 19.2kw. Plenty! Then if like me you have a higher peak load in the house than 3kw, you can get 2 batteries and put an AC invertor on each in parallel. Giving you a nice 6kw supply for the house. They say you can even add a third if you are feeling suitably flash!

LoRA is the name of the wireless technology isn’t it, like “bluetooth”? Heyuan make the device? I found out recently even council street lights are being fitted with LoRA to be remotely controlled and monitored.

Yes think so, the device is manufactured by Owen Bothers Metering.
