I saw the film when i was 11. I hear the music still, it is a musical masterpiece. Dan is in my opinion the only singer who can sing it so emotional and as good as Ted Neeley. Thank you for your very enjoyable reaction 👍😊. Listen to Dan's 'music of the night'. It is also incredible.

I was 13 when Jesus Christ Superstar hit the screens, and my parents made me come with them to see it. I was not thrilled at this, until the movie started. It was an unbelievably great movie then, and could be again with Dan as Jesus! He could bring an entire new audience to this great musical! Ted Neeley, and the original cast were so good in the original it really doesn't need a remake, but if they were to do it, Dan would be the man for the role! 👍😎✌🗽

If you liked the original JCS you need to check out ‘Jesus Christ Superstar Live at the Arena’ (there are clips on youtube). I loved the original but this Arena one blew the original away imo. It’s done in ‘modern times’ & is phenomenal. I watched a couple clips on youtube & immediately bought it on iTunes & have watched it at least 10 times. I do agree that Dan would out perform any of them though. Dan’s ‘Gethsemene’ just gives me chills every time I hear it.

I believe Ian Gillan was the original singer of this, and he set the standard for it. I think Dan exceeded every other performance with his emotional outpouring of anger, grief, acceptance, and resignation to his fate.

The feelings this song evokes, when this is sung, by any great performer is so painful, i have to steel myself to watch it. But the power and pain and incredible song itself draw me back. But, i wait until it is an emotionally strong day, and there is some. Time to sit and recover. Is needed. It must have been very difficult to see this on a live stream. For others Dan fans, I recently saw this performance on Dan’s channel in full screen. His eyes are fully visible , not just dark shadows. The pain in Dan’s eyes is so strong, it was physically painful. It was worth it, but it took a long time to recover
