I was searching for a video before buying, but the only one i was able to find for a smaller version, so I decided to make one for others who's considering buying this case.

That trunk or top box, is similar sized to Harley touring "tour packs". You will love the storage. I can put my FF modular helmet and insulated leather jacket, with room to spare.

Actually switched to Road Glide Limited and I could tell you that this trunk is much more spacious. I couldn't find the capacity of HD trunk, so it's all just my personal assessment.

This is a very helpful video that not only addresses the size of the case but also the performance element of having such a large case attacked to the rear of the bike! You have a beautiful bike and a great case. I will be going with the smaller Givi case for my Triumph Tiger 800xc

@@wrenchrat it's the best investment you can make, I have changed 3 saddlebags on my VTX in 50k miles, on FJR I have 44 and not an issue. Yes aluminum trunk is expensive, but it will likely outlive your motorcycle.

Thanks for posting this Vid, It has helped me decide on my Pannier and Top box selection. I wasn't sure how the explorer top box would look on my Faser FZ1, combined with the Givi panniers. Your side cases are similar to my Givi V35's (see my vids) and its really great to see how the Adventure type box looks on a sporty type bike. I like the look alot. @@eFasser my rack supports 10kg, the box weighs 6...so I'd only have 4kg. I think you are right, thanks for the answer.

@@doodledaddle231 that's a "liability weight" pretty much that's how manufacturers protect themselves from the law suits. I. reality, it's more about the size of you bike, look and aerodynamic. You can get the 58 literbut it would get your bike beyond the limit on weight for comfortable moving, it definitely will act as a sail. You'll be able to ride and probably will carry more than you think, but it wouldn't be pleasant. So go with something smaller and with better aerodynamic than a brick, your engine would thank you for that. Remember I've had almost 1300cc to spare.

I wont get the larger 53 litre, ill go for a smaller 43 litre (givi trekker aluminium box). ill only be taking lunch to work and using it to store my leathers in while I am at work. so it wont have any weight in it while I'm actually riding my bike s ill be wearing my leathers. Sorry, missed your question, I would say main downside is how much you can fit, I will always choose bigger bag over small one for a simple reason: you can put less in a bigger bag, but you cannot put more in a smaller one. And I'm case of this one - not a single time I didn't had enough space.

That's a beautiful bike you got there. I love the big topcase since I tend to overpack. Have you noticed if that topcase affects your handling on the bike? Thinking of getting that top case for my future super tenere. (PS- Love the Trump Stickers!!)

It's an expensive piece of equipment but you wouldn't regret, just try to avoid using stock frame. Spend extra for a proper frame to support all the weight

You're welcome, it will look more appropriate on your ride though ☺️ After 12k miles and daily use the only thing I did to the case is add stickers and use silicone to protect gaskets and prevent sticking. PS Originally I put sticker as a joke, but it was bringing way to many lolz 😂

I bought the same case and unfortunately this case it's not water resistant. Water is leaking between bottom plastic corners and aluminium plate then leaking inside the case. I solved this problem myself with a little bit silicone and now my case is water resistant. I'm really disappointed about this case, because it's not cheap chinesse manufacturer and this case cost a lot of money.

The box is great, at approx 70k miles on the bike, most with a box attached. So far the only issue I have rubber dampers on the mounting plate started to fall apart.

There are nets you can purchase, they have mounting points on top and bottom of the inside of the box.

Hi, I'm considering getting this box, but I'm so scared of the impact on bike performance, because it looks so wide and not aerodynamic at all.

Any box will impact your performance... You might loose .005 of the second on the track. In daily commute the only impact would be a bit shifted center of gravity due to the weight of items in the trunk. Since I have pretty heavy motorcycle to start with, box haven't done anything to the riding. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

@@Gryphus-R It's pretty frightening at first, that's why you hear me expressing it in a video. But after almost 30k+ miles with this trunk I don't even feel it... It's actually more weird without it 😂 In regards to center of gravity put a tiny person on the passenger seat and you will see way bigger shift. I regularly carry approximately 4-5 kilos or 8-12 pounds of weight in it and it feels absolutely normal. Plus if my memory serves me right, your bike has gas tank in the low and middle so effect of trunk will be minimal. Also you might choose the more air dynamic case

Yeah, my bike has the gas tank under the passenger seat and the "regular" tank has space for documentation and just a helmet and whatever you can put inside the helmet (pair of gloves, smartphone holder and that's it). I always keep a secondary helmet in there, because sometimes I carry a friend. Basically I'm between this one, the Maxia v4 (more or less same size, looks more aerodynamic but uglier) or just getting a single-helmet case, like the Outback 42 L. Probably it will be a coin toss at the end between the Outback 58 and the 42. The thing with the 58 L is that I think it could fit both 1 helmet AND my jacket, which is important here, because Barcelona is hot in the summer and I don't like having to carry the jacket around. Again, thank you very much for the helpful advice. I'll post some pic here once I install it.
