I'd love to see a classic design of Lanolin! She's an underrated character imo, not many characters in Sonic are so level headed and stoic, and that contrast draws me to her. A classic design of her would be amazing!

Honestly Lanolin is the first character I was thinking of at the start of this video ass someone whose classic design I would love to see, nice to see someone else on the same page! Also you're so right about her being underrated, she brings so much to the comics imo.

To be fair, as much as I admit to say it, she kind of deserves all of the hate she is getting as before issue 63, she was an ok character that just sadly didn’t have too much depth yet, but after words, she kind of just started to act like an asshole, and for anyone who still likes her, keep doing so, but there are definitely reasons why people hate her.

She pretty much treats his opinion as if it is a joke and doesn’t even try to hear him out. She just isn’t written well in my opinion.

I like the idea that the Classic style are the characters when they were younger with the modern ones being more older teens or young adults. Reading the IDW comics, they come off as in their early 20s.

8:36 Actually, at least her long tail, was designed with the games in mind as a fun gameplay mechanic where you swing around like Spider-Man. I remember it being made with the Classics in mind, but I can’t remember if that’s true or not.

I really want to see a scrapped character be redesigned! And the character I am talking about is named Honey T. Cat, she was a character in fighting vipers an arcade game made by Sega and she appears in some sonic games but then she was never saw again but at one point she was saved by the fans/community

Love these designs. My favorite is Silver but Blaze overall. I'd like to suggest 3 characters from different mediums so- Lanolin the Sheep from IDW -A more recent character who's pretty unique in design. Gold the Tenrec from Archie -She's a psychic who was meant to be a counterpart to Silver. Cream the Rabbit -She's already pretty small, so I'd like to see your take on her.

This is a pretty interesting challenge, and they look pretty nice! If I may give one tip though, you should showcase the finished art on its own, like taking full screen for a couple of seconds and maybe glancing over it with a little zoom slide show, because we can't really have a good detailed look of the draw on the speed paint alone when you're constantly moving it and zooming it around. (Also, I suggest you another challenge: Bloody Roar 2 characters as Sonic characters. They have the animals and the naming conventions. It would be fun to see a take on the challenge)

Goofy Silver is best Silver! I think taking away two of the Quills works pretty well! Big looks so good! Love his big eyes, absolute cutie! Tangle actually has a Sprite in a Mod for the Fan Game SRB2! And as a Pixel Artist myself, the floof would totally work! I think of the three, Silver is my favourite! He's just too much of a Cinnamon Roll!

they're pretty good designs take on this characters as classic, the only thing i would say that i would change would be the color of the eyes. They should be simple black color instead of the multicolors like the modern variants since is part of the classic look.

I want to see Sally, Bunnie Antoine and Rotor adapted to the art style of the Classic Sonic games. And no, I don't want them to be referenced to the designs used in the Archie Post-SGW comics. I want to take as reference the old designs that they had in Sonic SatAM, since they were the most representative designs for those characters and therefore gave them a lot of personality and made them distinguish from the rest of the characters of the Sonic franchise.

Hey so kinda sorta pixel/ spriter here! Tangles hair tuft could totally work (see origins amy, or modgen amy). The main issue would be making her MARKINGS look good and not too much or too little EDIT: I'd also love to see you try doing a classic cream? I feel like she'd be more interesting to try to turn classic since she's kinda a weird mesh between classic and modern, like a middle gate (and maybe having cheese too??? :D)

1:38 I think those comments were kind of weird as, well, this can be non-cannon. I don’t understand why it would matter that it would break the timeline. When it could be de-canonized. What? Was Lego Sonic and friends in Superstars’ story? Did Sonic know about Shadow prior to SA2 to have worn the costume in Superstars? Does Amy canonically have her own story in the four original Classic Sonic games, or did Mighty and Ray actually go through the events of Sonic Mania’s Mania mode? Is literally everything from all of the stages and endings in Shadow the Hedgehog canon? Did both Sonics randomly get the Chaos Emeralds in Forces and gone Super only in the levels? I think you get my point.

Is a Classic version of Norman from Sonic Rush Adventure a.possibly? Or is Norman too much a departure from the standard of Sonic design? I'd also like to see Tommy Thunder from Sonic Boom/Toon in a.Classic style. I know II'm asking for a lot of weird ones, but I like asking for unconventional characters.
