This was a good video man. I can't believe how green the water was. That Gators was something else man. I would have want to land when it started coming to me like that. You can call me a girl but i don't play with Gators man. The car sounds i have the something where i live too so i am just use to it. That was good advice about standing up sideways on the kayak. 🛶 Setting the hook. This was a good video man thanks you for sharing this video buddy .

One thing I learned the hard way punching is when checking your line for a fish after the initial fall I used to have my rod tip too high and that caused me to not get very good hook sets or have to drop my rod for the hook set and give the fish enough time to let go. So now I make sure the rod tip is lower to the water on the initial fall and if there is a fish you are in a better position for a good hook set.

I hope to be breaking in a new punching rod this weekend. I snapped my punch rod a couple weeks ago.

Nope, it just has a blue tail. The beaver style baits I was using are some that I make myself. Thanks! Keep at it, practice always helps with any fishing style.
