Uh, the video might end up being hours and hours long and super confusing. Not that hard to watch the other videos at your leisure. Better to break up information in chunks. If you're serious like me, I've seen every video multiple times at 2x's speed. GJ Chess has really upped my rating making my chess much more consistent than it use to be. Also, memorization is just good Alzheimer's prevention and brain health.

Anica : I`m sorry but ( in video time - 10:30 ) move knight c3 x d5 is wrong black respond with c6 x d5 and you loss a knight for nothing ... however, the white has a continuation without the sacrifice of a knight rook e1 - e3 with the idea of e3 - f3 triple attack on the black knight ... bye
@arpitpuria
@arpitpuria 2 жыл бұрын
Knight is not lost for nothing, if pawn takes it you can capture the f6 knight with your bishop and if queen captures back you can now capture pawn on d5 forking king, bishop and rook. when black blocks the check you can capture the rook.

Can someone please clarify, at 10:38 of the video, how is White Nxd5 a 'complete demolition job'? Why cant black respond with cxd5?
@spinnie0
@spinnie0 Жыл бұрын
After cxd5 you could have for example Bxf6 (capturing black's knight). If black recaptures the Bishop with the queen (Qxf6), then white can capture the pawn Qxd5, putting black's king in check and attacking the undefended black's rook (and bishop). But to be honest, according to Stockfish Nxd5 isn't even the top move, white is already winning hard at that point so cxd5 isn't even a crucial move or anything.

I dont understand how 10:34 is a good position for white.. Black can capture with his pawn and after white captures with his queen, black can take with his Knight and after bishop takes the back queen it can be captured by the rook. Black ends up with a minor peice advantage

I was thinking the same thing but, you will gain material in time. Now you take Knight with Bishop. Queen takes Knight. You take Pawn D5 check so now you take Rook on A8. It's up to us to play on from there.

What i saw... If black Pawn capture knight then bishop will capture knight too... to attck queen if queen capture bishop... and queen will capture pawn and give attck to king and the rook... also the bishop... inthis case ... if the queen try to block he will die... and the best move is king to G7 but if king to G7 queen will check the king blck after capture the bishop... and if king move to h6... white will push his pawn and win...but if i be white.. i will capture the rook first... hahahaa. And give the queen pressure..😂😂

I think after 1) e4 e5 2) Bc4 d6 3) Nf3 Nf6 4) d4 is not good after black takes , because after black takes pawn on d4 it`s not the same as video 5 - Philidor Central attack, because Nf6 is not as passive as Nd7 and tricks don`t work

Hi Gunjan, great stuff over here, but i have got one question,@17:15 after Bxa2 is there anything wrong with b3 trapping the bishop and perhaps Bxb3 Nxb3 winning another piece? ok you can say that there are queens and rooks on the boardand an open a and b file are dangerous but you as a white you can also use them to place a rook there for a queenside attack on the black king(especially with this huge dark square bishop sitting on e3 and pointing on a7) but is there anything concrete for black that i missed which is the reason why you didn't play that move?

@ 3.12, after Nf3, rather than Nd7 or Nf6, most average players move Bg4 pinning Nf3 on the board which encourage white to move h3 sometimes leads white to developed or otherwise disaster. In my case, after the opening e4 - e5, I move f4 entering the prelude of kings gambit accepted. Other players declined and other accepted. In my opinion, these is to refrained my opponent from using "by the book" method such as four knight opening, Ruy lopez, and Kings Indians, etc. that are overused by most players. GJ_Chess, I found out that your subscription page is helpful too to learn a lot. Some other subscription page about chess are also helpful such as kingcrushers, chessonline, etc. Some of my favorite GM players are Mikhail Tal, Bobby Fischer, Paul Morphy, Tigran Petrosian, Magnus Carlsen, and Hikaru Nakamura. which most of the time I am looking at. GJ_Chess, can you feature also some dirty chess tricks done by Mikhail Tal and Paul Morphy?. Hopefully that will be more help a lot also. =)

If you want to be really good at chess then play against either Deep Houdini, Deep Komodo or Deep Stockfish. These are the top 3-chess-engines in the World. Houdini and Komodo are great in positional play and Stockfish which is the current number 1 program is the MEGA-tactician among chess-engines. When it last played Komodo which is the top-competitor to the number 1-position it made Komodo look like an amateur. Stockfish is incredibly strong and is totally fearless and unbeatable in sharp tactical positions. I have the nr 3 and the nr 1 program in the world to train with. Houdini(3) and Stockfish(1) are very good tools to combine. Houdini on the strategic side and Stockfish on the tactical side. I get beaten a lot by Stockfish that´s no secret. But recently I managed to get a draw against that monster-program. Afterwards I don´t thínk it was anything special because it allowed me to trade queens early on. From around move 25 I evaluated the position as a draw but the program wouldn´t give it to me before move 129. So allthough Stockfish is a fierce tactician it is possible to play up to equality against it. The opening started as an English, then turned into a Nimzo-Indian with shades of a Queen´s Indian. Incredible easy I would say afterwards and I couldn´t really believe it. If anyone is interested then I could send the scoresheet to watch for everyone if the interest is there. If it is a help to anyone then I will also reveal my view if you chose to play a little sharp and tactical against the topprograms. Play the long-term build-up pressurising chess against it. Make sure that all of the programs pieces have defensive duties to take care of and then play a patiently but precise attacking-scheme build-up. I don´t know if this is a aggressive kind of positional play, but I got interesting positions against Stockfish. But unfortunately I´m not able to play this precisely enough, and the program mangaged to draw because of the correct defensive replies. I thought that if I can do this as a non-grandmaster then it should be easier for a super-grandmaster of for example Hikaru Nakamura´s caliber to force the program into a passive position where one has got a slight initiative against it. My opinion is that humans should be fearless against computers. A supergrandmaster can calculate far better than me and has better understanding of small nuiances in the position. But Again nerves play in when it is humans who has to do the job. And I don´t think attacking supergrandmasters like I have the patience to calculate 20 moves long on each move or wait 30 moves or longer until the attack finally can be thrown in as a trumph-card. If humans could do that then computers would be chanceless...

At first - this video series are great! :-) But I have 1 (maybe very simple) question about (video 1) DCT 13 Lewis Gambit at 10 min 23 sec. I can see an exchange series, where white gets two pawns (and 1 ahead) and loses the knight, but is this enough ? I thought like this (starting with white Knight) NxD5, pxD5, BxF6, qxF6, QxD5+, ... ok and simultanously to my text here, I see three threats, so white will have 1 pawn and rook for 1 Knight... hmmm :) are there any special moves that turn another game out or counters for black ? After so many "theory"-moves the advance might be very fragile. And sorry if my question is just stupid, I like chess, I dont play good :D

I have tried many of your tricks like the max lange attack, morphy attack, italian koltanowski gambit and aslo the lewis and urusov gambit. but when i play as black and get 1.d4 i do not know the correct system. Will u please suggest me a good line against the queens pawn opening.
