This is fabulous work, your painting is incredible, the flesh tone is so life like (what paints did you use). I love the little details like the Nerv symbols on the costume and boots. Brilliant work.

@detectiveconan996 Diluting the paint enough and patience - because one has to apply multiple layers of thin paint. Adding top coat from a spray can/airbrush to finish it up also helps a bit. Thanks ;-)

I'm still around, but got my phd and moved to Japan (two weeks ago). But there is not much time/space to do some extensive hobbies - but I snapped together, panel lined and stickered RG Strike Gundam. Nice kit. Maybe I'll do a small lazy "I'm still alive, thanks for over 1000, Konnichiwa Japan"-video. Hmmm...I guess it was a mixture of Vallejo and Revel color acrylics. With skin colors you just have to mix and see what happens. And don't watch too many tuts. Learning by doing is more efficient!

@Rokuro315 For this build I didn't. Just hand and spray-paint. But since I bought an airbrush last year I'll use it on my current GK kit. It's fun having an airbrush and I don't regret buying it but it's not really necessary to have one to archive good results.

I'm tempted to build a resin figure for quiet some time now - but with the tutorial at codyscoop, I might get one soon - always kinda afraid of painting the eyes anyways - it really looks awesome, 'though I prefer Asuka over Rei ^^'

@crossoldman Thanks! The eyes cost me several hours...turned out a lot better than I thought they would. Codyscoop döt com eye painting tutorial helped me a lot. Highly recommended!
