I added foam to the hk gk61 with optical silvers still pingy also when i added foam 1/16th inch thick it pushed the type c port slightly back anyway to get the usb c port back in the original placement so my cables don’t feel loose and fall out easier?

Honestly, I wouldn't bother. Opticals have very low upgradablilty, and just save your cash for a decent custom. The only reason I currently use the gk61 is because I got it for $15, but I'd say the only viable switch on it are optical blacks, everything else is too light, in my opinion (don't bother with optical yellows and silvers, they are inhumanely light). I ended up lubing, filming and spring swapping the switches and had to replace the stabs with durock plate mounts. The board ended up being around $50 with some nice pbt keycaps, but for anything more, I would pass it up.

These are still the old gk61. They suck. The gk61x and gk61xs are were its at now. Huge improvement in the c versions. They even fit in other cases like the kbdfans cases. Don’t waste your money in these gk61, look in the gk61x youll thank me later.
