Pretty neat tool. Even managing display manager seems convenient.

Yeah I was pleased that I can change the display manager with one click in this tool. It's easier than having to do it in the terminal. No commands to remember. I just go into the settings and change or modify what I want. I think this tool should be installed in Ubuntu and all Linux distros. As most people who are new to Linux won't have to use the terminal if they have this. It's also handy for experienced Linux users as well.

I really like your wallpaper. Cheerio!

It's one of the many wallpapers that come with KDE. Along with the themes that get installed.

I was hoping that this will list configurable options for each package before irreversibly entering the configuration sequence, but it does not!
@AndreaBorman2 ай бұрын
I thought it was to install packages but it's not. It is a way to configure your system settings and also the settings of the apps you have installed without using the terminal. The control center also has this option but this tool gives you access to settings that are hidden. It is easier to do it this way than in the terminal because here you can see the settings.

@@AndreaBorman It runs the the configuration script which was provided by the Debian package maintainer, if one was provided.
@AndreaBorman2 ай бұрын
@@stepannovotny4291 Yes I think that's right. You can change the settings in the terminal if you know the commands. This way is much more easy.

Installing Ubuntu first time >> grub-install fail during installation , what could be the reason ?
@Lizard_of_Linux_Lane2 ай бұрын
I'm just guessing, but you may need to turn off secure boot, that is a pretty common roadblock to installing Linux.

@@Lizard_of_Linux_Lane okay ill give it a try

If that doesn't work, I recommend checking forums to see if anyone has posted about installing your distro of choice on the PC model you are using and any issues they had.
@AndreaBorman2 ай бұрын
@@Lizard_of_Linux_Lane Yes if you are installing any Linux distro you need to disable secure boot. You also need to make sure that legacy boot is enable. You also have to do the same thing if you are installing older versions of Windows such as Windows 7. Because if you don't the install will fail. Once you have done the install you still have to keep secure boot turned off and legacy boot enabled. Otherwise your Linux or older version of Windows won't boot.
