As a Filipino residing in the US, my initial reaction when you announced that you were moving your family and your company to the Phil. was “Godspeed “ and hoped that you had good people to help navigate bureaucracy everywhere. In a few months of living there, now you understand but seem undeterred and continue to be hopeful. Hang in there but stay safe-it is the wild wild West in politics or business.

I consider you guys as modern day heroes by trying to break the barriers in the Philippine music industry and forging new paths for our new artists. Thanks for sharing the reality and struggles of the artists. It's truly an eye opener. Covers are great but it's time for us to reach the global audience with original songs. Hoping to see more content from you and your new artists. Thanks for advocating for Ppop 😊💕

I am thinking of bringing this issue to the senate of the philippines because they are very good in investigating and digging into issues. Like your suggestion, Josh, fans should become like lobbyist if they want change and love SB19. You are right. This is not just one company. This is the whole music industry. If you are not familiar with the Abs cbn franchise hearing, that media company was scrutinized from labour practices and non payment of taxes when congress held hearings for their franchise renewal.

You’re absolutely correct about the Ppop audience. The population and streaming is huge in the Philippines 🇵🇭 but they don’t listen to Pop from their own Country. I support Ppop and I’m not Asian and I’m older. I enjoy the variety of Pop from many Countries. I’m happy you chose the Philippines and I’m also happy Artists can come to you with less possibility of Greed or Underlying Intentions. 🙋🏻♀️🇺🇸

Just watched Cashual Chuck's new video about the situation and I was shocked how in open Public. Charles Kim, the new owner of ShowBT treated RC20. I wasn't aware of these things like how hard he was pushing Josh when he was just interacting with a fan. And his sly passing comments on RC20's looks compared to other boygroups. So how worse could it have been for these artists behind closed doors? I understand wanting to get your money's worth because you want your business to succeed. But ain't now way it's morally right for you to treat anyone like a product you own.
@Enzo-td8rv11 ай бұрын
When I saw how Charles Kim treated SB19 I was enraged he treated those boys with all forms of abuse. Here in the USA we could report him for abuse hopefully someday those kind of treatments will not be tolerated by the industry and artist will have the right to pursue their dreams without humiliation and abuse. I’m so glad SB19 can be called SB19 again.
@Baily_Tube11 ай бұрын
That was from the pop up event where Josh Cullen said "I remember you!" to Chuck. I remember that. But I also remember Chuck defending Charles Kim (he deleted that video almost a day after posting it). Charles Kim personally brought Chuck in for a small interview to talk about how he wanted the boys to try harder about pushing merchandise (it was during this meet up that Chuck recorded the BGYO comments).

i can agree with the company giving the money initially only if they really support the group.but during oandemic the boys did everything by themselves.they are the ones who contacted the people who produce the music. just my 2 cents. i hope there are stipulations like if they will no longer support the artists they should just let them buy the name. and hopefully no to long contracts

I think most people want to talk but are not privy to the actual facts or are not educated about legal matters. So people just talk based on their emotions and gut feeling but unable to articulate further to help resolve issues. You cannot blamed them though because culturally, Filipinos are not assertive as a typical westerner is. This issue has to happen in order to open the eyes of the people about the Machine, not only in the Music industry but also in other industries.

Hi Josh and Lucas! I watched and listened to the entire thing and I learned a lot. I want more of this honest talk, got no time for BS. In my “non music industry mind”, this is all about the money. The new owner of the company (who took over at the start of the year) anticipated earning lots from rc20 when they bought it. So, I think rc20 should know how much it was bought for - their investment - and the anticipated ROI considering inflation etc (include greed as bonus). And as one of their songs says - at sino ng nagsabing buhay magiging madali sisingilin ka nyan araw araw bayaran mo pa unti unti (ikako)

If you think deep and use curiosity about our our music industrys policy about genes and who cross over it are not filipino music but if you think on a bright side and question about what they had been claimed it doesn't make sense because they keep using a cover song from Hollywood that could only benefit an artist from Hollywood song.again its a foreign music then who could the fuck around the global community want to hear hat cover if the original musician was far over popular Jan them?!its not about genra in filipino but a money they could make from that cover and hen filipino artist could be mock or belittle for a copycat.why do our artist has had to cover a foreign song when our artist could compete Tru their created and artistic song to make a pride for it.honestly I have already notice it since I was at my young age.the elephant on the room in a music industry in the Philippines is the filipino itself.😊
