This was one of the most beautiful movies I had ever seen. Makoto Shinkai is one of the most brilliant men theatrically, I know of. He needs to know his art is enough.

I was so lucky to buy the last copy of the collector’s edition at my local Best Buy. I saw this movie many times and cried so many times watching this movie. One copy left I was not gonna let it slip away from me. I made an effort to get this collectors set n I have it! Boy I can’t wait to cry all over again. Love this movie so so much! The music still gets me to cry, thats how much I love this movie. Now to see the movie before this, 君の名は (Kimi no Nawa - You’re Name)

2:10 Note about next-gen consoles, neither Xbox Series X or PS5 supports Dolby Vision at launch. Weathering With You will only play in HDR10. While HDR10 is better than nothing, you won't get the full effect. You would also need a TV with Dolby Vision.

I hope you can snag the licences for every Shinkai film just like your friends at Anime Ltd. over at the UK. FUNimation still has Your Name., Sentai Filmworks still has The Garden of Words, and Discotek has 5 Centimetres Per Second, but all of the other Shinkai films have their licences expired and they are ripe for rescuing. Maybe you can also rescue the licences for Mamoru Hosoda's films after FUNimation lets them go.

Serious question. My 2nd disc looks much different. Instead, the cover of the disc is the main character in the rain rather than disc shown in the video. Is mine wrong?

Does anybody even use standard DVDs now? 480p IMO is low resolution and 720p is standard. Anything above is high res

I’m watching the 4K right now, I have picked up the regular new 4k release and I love Dolby vision looks good so far, but I looked it up on blu ray they say it’s not a good 4k release not much of a upgrade. Does someone else think it’s good? It’s a 4K upscale from 2k di, and they say hdr didn’t do much to improve

Wait so there are no interviews or behind the scenes with the English cast at all in this entire set? Why the heck are you guys treating that version like it's some kind of afterthought or something? Seems very disrespectful towards the English voice talent who also worked hard to make their parts shine.
