This is the first time I realize Josh’s family can speak Chinese. Josh’s Chinese is definitely a bit rusty. Certain phrases sound really good while others not so much. It sorta comes in and out a bit, but overall quite understandable. I am even more surprised that his mother’s Chinese sound better than Josh and also seems to be more fluent at it.

for someone who probably hasn't spoken chinese for many years, his chinese is very good. some intonations are wrong/off, but that could easily pass as a dialect, and the fact that it's been a really long time since he last spoke chinese. it's still easy to understand what he's saying, so big props to josh for managing to speak chinese for 24 hours.

If adults can get away with speaking in a language they are comfortable some of them will, so if someone has put in the time and effort to learn it is praiseworthy so yea I am surprised. I love this genuinely!! From this ep, I understand how nice it is for Korean and English culture to be integrated and explored on Korean Englishman, because I could understand the Mandarin this time around. Seeing you guys speak in Mando and eat Chinese food was really really nice because I'm so familiar with that. I’m trilingual (English, Korean, Chinese) and I relate to this video so much 😂 At 3:24 when Josh says 「我們今天在說中文」 his 「中文」 has a heavy Korean accent, it’s so interesting hahahaha!
