I think that the PDGA would get more folks buying in if there wasn't only 4 months left of the year. PDGA, please make membership one year from purchase. If literally every other subscription membership can do it, so can you. Talking to you too wildlife and fisheries.

She's currently the only one with the full package. She can throw far, approach well, and putt well. The entire FPO field will need to raise their level to compete with her. It's super exciting for the development of the sport.

Tattar's elbow looks to be bothering her. She rarely threw backhands and when she did they weren't her usual level. Impressive to play as well as she is with a nagging injury like that.

Hansen should've been OB on 17. They landed in the OB zone and the disc slid under the barrier. It would be one thing for the OB line to be painted and the disc goes back in bounds, but what is the point of having a fence to mark OB if not to make an "inescapable" OB zone other than cheap advertising?
@scottlucas50622 жыл бұрын
I don't know if I agree with that. Where else do we see an "inescapable" OB on tour other than water? This is a man-made object and she got a lucky break. Another example would be if a player threw a disc in there and it skipped over top of the wall. It's man-made, not inescapable. Instead of striping it they just put up a plastic wall for marketing.
@djbme832 жыл бұрын
The wall doesn't mark the official OB line. The painted line that is less than a foot away does. See 30:24

I watched it live with worse quality so I couldn't see the white line near the barrier until rewatching it here, so my bad on that. I put inescapable in quotes because obviously a disc could go in and bounce back out. However, if the signs aren't there to mark OB, then it makes even less sense to have them there at all. I was in person at Des Moines and there was tons of white paint marking the OB along cliffs in the woods that are inescapable areas. No doubt Hansen got a lucky break. it's just really stupid to put advertising signs there. Either reinforce the wall to make it more of an obstacle so discs can't slide under it, or don't have it at all and let the white line do its job.
@WillEnj0y2 жыл бұрын
The fence doesn’t mark OB. That’s why there is a separately marked line out from the wall. The wall is for advertising and also serves to prevent rollers.

There are at least 100 better disc golf courses than this one. I have no idea why this was chosen for Worlds. I can only conclude that it's about money somehow.
@A.J.K872 жыл бұрын
I think it has more to do with having the infrastructure to host worlds. It takes a huge commitment from the local community to host the biggest tournament of the year. I think Emporia is one of the few places that can pull it off because of DD. Next year will be at smuggler's notch, so that will be a lot better.

@@powertrip6426 remember, the LGBTQ isn't the only community that can be offended, the rest of society is able to have those same feelings as well. I know this may come as a shock to some. Society always has to tip toe around the LGBTQ community in order to be politically correct and all of this 🐎 💩 in order to not offend...but yet that same community and many others that are not part of it always seem to forget the other side and how it makes others feel. When people such as myself (or millions of others around the world) post their positions about this issue, we are all looked at as uninformed, unintelligent, homophobic/transphobic etc and it's such a joke. If you take male hormones, it's giving you an advantage plain and simple. Yes, she's still a woman....but with an advantage that should not be allowed. The pdga is just scared to get sued (just like every company/business etc) because they all know this is such a sensitive issue and they would rather turn a blind eye in order to keep peace and money in their pockets and not get caught up in legal matters.
