i dont see any problem with the baskets. spit outs and cut throughs happen on every single basket design. at least with these baskets you know that your putt just needs to be a better, more centered, all around putt. consequently, you have to focus more. Eagle's putt wasn't centered, it was left. Barsby's bounce out of those innova/discmania/whatevertheywere discgolfpark baskets in the euro open 2017 much worse, and much more consequential.

I know he's the world champ and his game works just fine but he really should modify his runup on stuff like that. most pros go to a two-step walk up or even a standstill on fairway shots like that so that their footwork is much less of a variable. the speed at which James' foot plants/his heel turns on an approach with ground that isn't as stable or grippy as a teepad is gonna cause slips like that to keep happening. you'll rarely see it with someone like Eagle, who has such a controlled approach walk-up and usually just goes to the two step.
@KylaraKuhn3 жыл бұрын
@@MK212074 The extra speed you get from that pays. When you are like 5 seconds in the air with a 3 mile difference in running speed, your disc goes 22 feet further. Add that over 2 throws on a par 4 and you could be 44 feet further just because you give it more speed to begin with. And.. 5 seconds air time is really conservative over those long distances. Agreed that when you need accuracy, a slower speed would/could be better.

Ok, I saw a few people here commenting about the baskets, and I partially agree. They're not the most "catchy" baskets. .... The chains canopy is kind of narrow, and the chains are spaced a little farther apart than on some other baskets (allowing for occasional blow-throughs). I Play on this type of basket (Gateway Titan Pro 24) semi-frequently. They are not my favorite, but OK. ....not the best basket out there. But there's another way of looking at this… these "harder to stick" baskets could be considered as just another feature of this course; designed to add to the overall challenge of it. Just like the embankments, water, big terraced greens, and tight OB stakes in places.... all these are features of this particular course as well. And these baskets are just another feature that adds overall challenge to a great course. I can't wait to try it. :)

This is the future of disc golf. People putting in actual money to design and make a course like this. And its not even close to done!!! Wow….

Disagree. Nobody in their right mind puts this much money in disc golf with such little return on investment.

This place is the future of disc golf and is just insane to see.. When I started playing in 2001 I never imagined seeing it get to this level.

Man can we just appreciate how positive and good vibes these people are. Awesome video as always, can't believe this is free content to be honest. Keep it up!

Well except Simon at the end.. I am sure his elbow really bothered him but he seemed like a 12 year old sometimes. Nobody is perfect but some criticism needs to be given.

Such great disc golf. I love those par 5's, so beautiful. Tight woods but not so tight that you cant find lines to get through the trees, as long as you execute. Plus its all on grass

Sick course. Sick skins match. The only thing that needs to change is the baskets. So many spitouts/spit throughs in just 18 holes. Get some Discatchers or Mach Xs out there asap.

If in 3 years we're all buying special shoes for disc golf, look back to this and SEVERAL other recent moments where James Conrad has slipped. I see a pair of Conrad's Traction Pros coming in the future LOL

I love the 252ft playoff idea and feel it’s a great way to immortalize the shot within the sport. Everyone should start doing this.

Awesome video! One of the best skins yet! Having ever hole be for big money applied extra pressure and that was great to see. Wish we could have seen the push to the grow off from the Conrad spot tho!

Eagle: "I have a heart attack every time I putt on these baskets." I know they are Gateway baskets because the course designer owns Gateway, but they are nowhere near up to par for this course. Phil, give Dave enough money to copy Discatchers and call them Gateway 2.0s.

Eagle said this course ranks in his top 3 favorites, Curious as to the other two courses. I might guess that Jarva DGC in Sweden may be one, but curious as to his faves.
