Hi! Im gonna apply this year, but i dont know if in the initial form i should say that I'm being medicated for depression or not, since Korea is known to be "unfriendly" towards mental health problems. Its expected to stop taking medication this year, since I've been doing so much better and my doctor and therapist both say I'm "in a good place" and are very optimistic that i can remain like this even if i go aboard. My only concern is, if i dont disclose it in the form, and later they find out somehow, I'm gonna be disqualified, or if not, if i cant get access to the medication while living there

I recommend you being truthful on your application. Its better to get rejected during the application than being caught of fraudulent. It is a form of crime. It may affect you to come to another country if they found out and let you go from Korea. You will have more problem. Also, if you have mental health issue, I dont recommend choosing Korea tho. They dont have work life balance. I never get much anxiety before coming to Korea. You should think again Korea is really a good option for your physical and mental health. You always have option to visit Korea for tourism one day. With that your experience will be much more joyful.

Hi, thank you for stopping by. It is always better to fail after trying rather than fail to try. Nothing harmful with trying a new experience as you always can take it as lesson learn. So I would suggest you to apply, who knows you will make it.

@@abcdxyz9999 Well to be honest I am not sure about the date as the korean government will post it on their website. However it is most probably on September. You should be able to find the information if you type in google ‘GKS Notice Undergraduate’. As soon the information available you will find the announcement there. I recommend you to keep watching the site just in case :))

Hi Aya, I have never heard about hair test. But they might change the regulation, so please refer to the guideline of the year you intend to apply.

Hi! First of all, loved your video, it was really helpful! Does the NIIED specify the kind of drug test you need to take? In my country we have 3 different kinds of tests (urine, hair and blood test).

It is written in the guidelines this year to include medical evidences of laboratory tests mentioned in part 4 (which are hemoglobin, urine and hepatitis b). As long your doctor said it is okay, I think no need to worry about. They will test you again once you arrive in Korea tbh. So, everything for the best I believe.

Hi Angel, thank you for stopping by. It is included in the medical form, however whether it will be physically examined or just a simple consultation, it purely depends on your doctor. In my case, I was just asked if I have any medical record regarding the rectum and genitalia. As I had never been any problem with that, I was not physically examined.

Hi Shyam, as per my experience I needed only to fill one type of application form where you have to indicate the course of study. Then, once embassy or university accept you, and you pass all screening, you will be mostly accepted to Global korea scholarship.

so basically you have to send all documents together, the scholarship documents and university application. I believe you can refer all detail information to the guideline given by NIIED.

Hi I am sorry for being late in response. Been busy preparing final exams. Well, the scholarship is for 4 years and most of medical studies end in 6-7 years. I believe you should try to contact the professors. Here in Korea they have budget for professor to give scholarship to students.

but I have a big confusion...that is a foreign can't be a Doctor in S. korea ..they more prefer a Korean Doctor.. and searched alot but I didn't found any GKS scholarship for Medicine..because GKS is only for atleast 4 years..and medicine, pharmacy, Dental and architecture are more than 4 years so there is no scholarship available for them😭😭😭......pleaseee can you guide that how I can get a MBBS scholarship PLEASEEE🙏

Hi Beauty Box, indeed there is limitation in the scholarship. And you have a good question. Due to the fact that I am not majoring in MBBS, I would recommend you to ask to university or niied directly. By this I believe you will get valid information.

I have a Q after 12 i will do bachelor of pharmacy And i searched it on google that it is 6 year program in korea but it is also a 4 year program Google gave two diff ans And GKS program is for 5 years Can you please confirm that bachelor of pharmacy is for 6 years or 4 years in korea🙇‍♀️

GKS gives 5 years for undergraduate with 1 year language course and 4 years degree. I think for pharmacy, it wont be 6 years long. The medical study might probably takes that long.

What I can suggest is that it will be great if you can browse directly to the site of the university and look at their syllabus. Only by then, you will know in which language the subject will be taught.
