GL.iNet Portable Mini Router Review

In this video I review the GL-iNET 2.3GB GL-MT300N-V2 Mango and the GL-iNET 2.3GB/ 5 GB GL-AR750S-Ext portable mini routers. I show how easy these are to set these up to operate as wifi routers to connect to a mini pc, Intel Nuc, ASIAIR, Stellarmate, Raspberry PI, etc. I demonstrate how to connect to either in the router mode as an independent WiFI router or in extender mode using a home internet WiFi. I also summarize their performance over different distances across the yard, from inside the house and from inside an RV.

Very nice video! However, I think my unit is in router mode, and it still connects to the internet via 5G wifi thru my home router. I'm having trouble setting up the usb port with an SSD to use as a network drive for the mini pc. It would be nice to view a setup video for that. Like you, I found the 5G connection to my home router stable and shockingly fast!

No sim card required. It works as a router because it is a router. Just like any other router.

Can the router connect through Bluetooth ?

No. It can be connected with WiFi or Ethernet cable.
