Used to be Bloom Into You. Over time, I've come to be disappointed that there was no follow up to her self hate and negative thinking after the incidents that changed her thinking. IDK, that sort of thing isn't a one and done but a process of healing. While I'm glad it didn't go deep into that as the primary subject matter, some acknowledgement that she wasn't simply 'fixed' would have helped me hold onto it as my number one. Over time, that's kinda left a sour taste in my mouth. I've also loved Yuri Is My Job! and Whisper Me A Love Song, although especially with the latter, there have been elements which have kinda been eroding at my enjoyment. But overall? Kase-San and Yamada. It's wonderful.

Mine is definitely school zone girls! It's a rom com that follows a a few pairings aside from the main girls and the humour (especially in a lot of the facial expressions) is super good. It is on indefinite hiatus but it has 5 volumes so it's definitely worth a read.

I’ve started getting into Yuri manage after starting a manga series called the summer you were there without realising it was a yuri but I’m very glad I did cause I’m excited to try some of these recommendations

16:29 I think this is only GL manga where you can justify cheating. (I been cheated on before so this comes from experience), especially after knowing what husband did, I believe if your partner does that to you... I don't think it's too much bad to cheat then. If husband was a good man, I would have judged this manga hard but since it isn't like that. It get a pass from me.

I'll also say this as a yuri lover but I believe. Even if manga and girls are forced into heteronormativity... And husband turns out to be good in those stories... I don't think cheating either physical or emotional can he justified then. However in stories that are like "run away with me girl" I can understand why would one do that especially in such situations.

I've been cheated on before and when reading Run Away with Me Girl I felt like I probably would have done the same if I was with someone who was as horrible as the husband in that series.

Off topic but from what i seen Mexico prints are nicer than U.S prints. Do you think thats true? Do you buy yours in Mex? Im having a hard time finding a way to buy Mex. copies in the U.S. 😵‍💫 How do we relationship #1 for me always but i think you already have that one. I read Run away w me girl based of ur rec and it was pretty good. Sometimes it was a bit gloomier than i like but thats manga baby i powered thru n really enjoyed the outcome. Thanks!

I wouldn’t say Mexican prints are nicer than all U.S. manga. Generally speaking Editorial Kamité and Distrito Manga offer nicer printing than Viz Media manga in the U.S. in my opinion. Yes, I buy most of my Mexican manga in México but I’ve also purchased online through Mangabrería, they ship to the U.S.

For me, I loved Hello Melancholic until the disturbing epilogue where...... ....we find out that a child is "dating" an adult. IMO, it was so unnecessary and gross.

@@LauraNeuzeth Takane & Hana and Are You Ok with a Slightly Older Girlfriend are two hetero mangas where the protagonists are both a high schooler and an adult of over 10 years age difference. Comes to show some storytellers come in all shapes and sizes I guess..some creepier than others. 🤦‍♀️

@@celinek2690 Yeah, def. not just yuri or yaoi that has this problem. What killed me about Hello Melancholic was that it was in a throwaway epilogue about a minor character that did not need to be there at all, and I got through the whole thing enjoying it just fine. Not GREAT, but a solid story. Then they tossed it in there at the on the last two or three pages just to explain why one character wasn't around much. Wasn't necessary, and wasn't the only possible explanation.... just ending it with grossness.

I recommend "Assorted Entanglements", "Doughnuts Under a Crescent Moon", "The Summer You Were There", "Days of Love at Seagull Villa", "I Married My Best Friend to Shut My Parents Up", "My Cute Little Kitten", "I Can't Believe I Slept with You!", the period piece "Good-Bye My Rose Garden", "NTR Netsuzou Trap", and "Our Wonderful Days". 😊

I loooove Doughnuts Under a Crescent Moon! I ended up including that in my Asexuality Recommendations because of how the series ended. I also love I Married My Best Friend to Shut My Parents Up and Good-Bye My Rose Garden. Sadly dropped Our Wonderful Days, I didn't get into it. I'll have to check out the others ones you mentioned!

I recommend Opium if you havent read it yet. It's an 18+ manwha, but the story is amazing 👌
