I got a feel now on how VaaRDeev plays GLA 1. Set up initial line of defense, usually involves multiple palaces 2. Spam build Scud storms 3. Use Scud storms on enemy superweapons as available 4. Initial defense collapses if enemy is able to deploy superweapon 5. PANIK. Spam Quad cannon and Rpg trooper 6. Line of defense reestablished after intense battle 7. Spam build MORE Scud storm to make sure all enemy superweapons are destroyed 8. Spam Scorpion, Quad, and Rocket buggy 9. Sneak tunnel in weakened adjacent enemy base to attack 10. Take out each remaining enemy base one by one, sneak tunnel & scud storm optional

good video. Have you considered using the "prepared for battle" mod or "contra X beta" mod? those mods add more units and some new improvments.
