Dude! Awesome video! Mad props for doing all of that over one night that hike is mean, and with the gear you were carrying, you're a badass! I've been up to trout/arrow a few times and let's just say the biggest trout in those lakes sure ain't the cuttys...

Dang, I just reread that and realized....maybe that wasn't a cutthroat holding on to the smaller cutthroat that had my lure!

My wife and I were the ones that ran into you coming from Upper Two Medicine Lake. I hope you did well. I just gotta say an Alpaca makes some nice rafts. I’ve done a 3 day trip with a pack weight of 41 pounds and my wife’s was a little lighter. They are pricey, but we’ve had ours 13 years now.

I'm seriously tempted to upgrade! The 70lb pack 24 mile day was rooooough! Thanks for the advice! Hope you enjoy the rest of your time here!

It was pretty dang consistent catches. No exaggeration, the majority I caught this day were not on film, needed to conserve battery.

Got skunked at Lake McDonald last August from a boat. I saw zero fish.

Seems pretty sterile.

@@goodthrillhunting For sure. I know there is some decent fishing to be had in the park, but Lake McDonald aint it.

We will be in GNP at the end of the of month and will be staying on the East side of the park. Any recommendations for a one day fishing on that side of the park? We plan on bringing our on fishing gear. Thanks for the videos, very much enjoy!

On the east side, you can catch rainbows, brook trout and lake trout on Two Medicine, a couple spots from trails near the south shore can be productive, or rent a vessel and you're golden. In Many Glacier you can find brook trout all up the Swift Current Valley in multiple lakes and there's shoreline access from trails. Have fun!

Any suggestions for what tackle we should use?

No lead allowed in the park, so don't use rooster tails or panther martins, they have lead weights built in although all the gas stations just outside of the park sell them 🙄. #3 Mepps spinners for Brookies and rainbows, and anything really. I also use rapalas for lake trout.
