To be honest this movie good at battle scenes... good at this one. Main character not even main person here... almost. usually movies show mini-scenes of main character fight someone. 1 to 1. With some ppl in background. Best of they show legionnaires stand by general side when he be in middle of the battle (and cover him). As result this feels more like 'first person', more detailed battle than even when i play Rome Total War.

If there's was one thing to praise about Rome 1 (I wouldn't stop at one just saying.) It's the sound mixing and sfx. They make the atmosphere gritty, and brutish during fighting. When soldiers die you can hear primal and gutteral screams. Nothing is making you mistake the fact that war is violent. It's amazing. I played this game when I was 7 years old. I'm so glad I enjoyed it at a time games were made for the player. :^)
