Legacy of Rome is for Grand campaign, Sol Invictus is for Empire Divided... You can find details about which R2HD mod is support for which campaign. One of the issues i always disliked about vanilla Rome 2 is units having unstrapped helmets cheek guards.

I think the mod you should add is the rome II HD 0.95.5 it's such a good mod

There's something not right about the animation mod return to glory, the changes made to the kv_rules file seem to change the outcome of battles to me in testing, like painted ones kicking the ass of Legionaries easily, that's not normal. Some examples of changes. Melee hit chance base changed from 40 to 97 Melee hit chance min changed from 15 to 98 Melee hit chance max changed from 75 to 99 melee formed charge matched combat percentage changed from 20 to 100 melee formed vs formed matched combat percentage changed from 40 to 100 melee formed vs free matched combat percentage changed from 60 to 100 there's changes made to knockbacks and other stuff as well. It's one thing to add extra animations, but changing the rules of combat in order to make them be seen more often is a pretty wild edit if you ask me.

I wouldn't have much hope for a Rome 3 anytime soon. CA/Sega needs to fix its internal issues first. In my opinion, that is.

In the mod manager on the left side of the list, there are up and down arrows. Just hover your cursor over that, and a hand will show up. You can slide the mod up or down to change the load order.

Lots of these mods say they are out of date and warn me before using them. Is that okay?

Probably yes. Outdates mods can Crash your game or causing mistakes in performance or graphical things. But not every outdates one cause such things. May make a copy of our savegame and try the mods. Mostly you just have to deactivate the mod(s) and game should be fine again:)

I'm guessing these mods wouldn't allow you to join Vanilla multiplayer lobbies, right? Unless they act as if they're client-side.

Yeah, I got that. DEI is doing the same, just on bigger scale. It changes campaign, mechanics, esthetics and more. DEI units look amazing. So, I was just wondering, want it worth to try it. But I guess some just preferce vannila, no matter what..

I never can see dust I dont know way- all on extreme very good computer... play only DEI version, rest not mather for me. In time what I tape these I manage to have dust but with another mode, watever thanks for info.

@@casual96 Oh man... don't get me started with the lag. Unfortunately, no it is NOT the best mod for me. And to be fair it seems way more complex to me even though I've been playing for weeks, or what a month (and yes, I do understand that I am still classified as a beginner, but I believe I get the hang of the game lol.) and I have experience with Total War games. But sure I can trust that there is more historical accuracy with the mod.

@@seems_goodlolthere are several mods that can change the vanilla game to a hell of the day with a combination of individual mods and you won’t have the pathfinding problems and the lagging of DEI…I used to play DEI day and night, but it gets worse and worse with all the lagging,the what if scenarios of troops and the gameplay stabilisation that they add with each update. Sorry buddy…I am disappointed too…
