Just watched it. And… I liked it. It’s not that emotional and cool as first movie. But it is more intriguing and complex in plot. SPOILERS: I think it could be more interesting if he unite with pedro pascal. But they just “archered” him 😢 PS: Acting of redhead twins was Insanely good 🔥

Israeli actress 🇮🇱 Yuval Gonen is AMAZING in this movie!!!!! Stunning & She easily beat out the Palestinian one who got the boot.... Gonen plays the female Archer

Soo... about the abundance of "references" to the old movie, id rather rewatch the first movie. I like the actors and all, but following SOO closely to the original storyline feels cheap

Just saw it. As much as I love Denzel I think Ridley set the bar a tad too high with the first Gladiator. The first Gladiator I watched about 15 times. This 1, nah.

Something must be wrong with the director, Gladiator 2 was a joke and he called it his best movie so far. I've watched Gladiator 1 so many times, from the great acting of Russell Crowe, Phoenix, Richard Harris, ... to the great scenes and the music, I just loved it. Gladiator 2 was more like a cheap work of a CGI maker, cast selection an absolute nightmare and the actings were absolute disgrace. I still can't belive that both have been made by the same director.

Maybe in about 40 years this "could" have been a good movie, but 24 years is not too long. Plus, the main actor seems dull, and there's no way this guy beat a Russell Crowe's Academy award winning performance.

I've never liked it, but somehow I always came back to the movie because everyone raves about it. Yesterday it finally clicked with me. The second one, I 'don't know, it looks like a remake, soft-reboot, but also a sequel... like they coudn't decide on a proper trajectory And having sharks I the colosseum?I'm no history buff, but come on, I'm all about suspension of disbelief, but that's taking things too far...

Avoid! This is a terrible movie. The whole thing feels like a trailer and you're continually wondering when the movie will start. You are never drawn into that world. There is no character development. You aren't invested in any of the characters. The movie is full of non-sensical action scenes devoid of logic and reason (Transformer sequel syndrome). There is no reason for the protagonist to be the protagonist! No reason for people to listen to him. A rinse and repeat feel.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME, WITH THIS MOVIE!!! -There is nothing original here, only bastardation of history and shameless piggyback on movie nostalgia, story-line was amateur and predictable. *Denzel was the worst casting pick, hard to watch. Though, only the sets were good.
