Ridley Scott such a massive figure in the entire Hollywood. I think right now some directors like Spielberg , Zemeckis put away some passion and not making many movies. But Ridley still in the game. Also he produced so many great projects and keep doing it. Legendary director!

All of his films grow on you they r not fast food ….although he whips them out as if you r visiting house of pancakes but they r superb detailed works ….they say so much without dialogues and scenes convey greater philosophical meanings while destroying hubris ….an absolute master ❤

Ridley is a treasure. Criticising his movies only for story & script as the critics usually do, is so conventional thinking and missing the point entirely. It is like criticising a carravaggio for a person sitting to far left in the frame.

All those people will be the ones to miss him the most when he's gone because they didn't appreciate him while he was here. Meanwhile his fans have always appreciated him and he'll always be with us and live through his movies.

But he doesn't get criticized JUST for the story&script (which are bad, by the way). He ALSO gets criticized for the increasingly boring visuals and the poor direction. He let Denzel talk in a new york accent, that's worthy of criticism too.

This is like Some subcontractor was hired to Do a typical Scott movie. It starts with the Credit sequence, which is not original anymore, and continues all the way through. I dont think He was that much involved in making this film.
