Gladiator Laser's Signature Move Backfires | American Gladiators | Full Episode | S05E22

In the men’s competition, it’s Joseph Edwards, a student from Baytown, Texas vs. Troy Jackson, a gymnastics coach from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In the women’s round, It’s D’onna Toyebo, a U.S. army electric device repairman from Ford Old, California against Peggy Odita, a sales manager from Redwood City, California.

Pyramid: Contenders have 45 seconds to reach the top of a pyramid, with two Gladiators blocking their path.
The Wall: The contenders attempt to scale a rock climbing wall, being chased by Gladiators.
Joust: The Gladiator and contender face off for 30 seconds on elevated platforms. They must knock each other off with pugil sticks.
Whiplash: The contender and Gladiator each hold one end of a double triangle apparatus, known as the “dog bone”. They must each attempt to have the other either let go of the “dog bone”, or exit the ring.
Swingshot: The contenders bounce with bungee cords to try and retrieve colored balls for points, while the Gladiators try to disrupt them.
Assault: The contender must attempt to hit a target while a Gladiator shoots at them using a tennis ball cannon.
The Eliminator: The Eliminator is an obstacle course spanning the arena, the winner of which advances to the next round of the competition.

Welcome to the official channel of American Gladiators, home of patriotic spandex and giant cotton swabs.
Beginning in 1989 for 8 seasons, this competition swept America. Two men and two women compete against each other and a roster of "American Gladiators". Events included, The Assault, Joust, The Wall, Breakthrough and Conquer, Hang Tough, Powerball, and many others, all culminating in the final event, "The Eliminator", a difficult obstacle course race. Every season there is a tournament to determine its "Grand Champion". For two seasons, there was an "International" competition taped in England where the champions from 4-6 countries competed similarly.

Troy Jackson and Jojo Edwards were amazing in both the Pyramid, and the Wall, Scored 6 points in Assault. Also, Troy Jackson was amazing in Swingshot, and the Men's Eliminator.

If I'm not mistaken, Kimberly Tyler and Cathy Marino both made it to the top of the Pyramid in the 1st Half Tournament

@@lorinmiller3317 Then it's technically correct, as both were taped the same day. Even though they reversed events 2 and 3 (didn't matter much on the first half because no one scored in the Joust).

Looking back, comparing Sabre with a Fencing Sword or Epee doesn’t do him any justice. If only FF7 was around the time AG was still on TV, I would’ve compared the Fusion Sword to Sabre’s ability as a AG.
