I always told my husband that this is the song I want played at my memorial, little did I know what life held for me. I played this by my husbands hospital bed as he was dying and again at his memorial, it was such a profound moment as the song played, with photos of his incredible life . I could feel his presence. He was truly a gladiator,defying all life handed him. 💔

Over three years ago I lost my beloved wife,friend,soulmate. My heart aches everyday. When I hear this music it brings tears to my eyes because I know she is waiting for me with open arms, only to fill my empty heart with her previous love that I so dearly miss. God give me the patience to wait because I will always feel broken until that day comes. In the meantime, music such as this gives me some peace and a sense of calm.

I lost a friend to depression. Her name was Anna, and she passed away on February 10, 2023. She was an angel in the lives of many. We lived in difficult times at the university since a girl was brutally murdered inside the university, and we were all quite shaken by it, including Anna, she decided to wrote a poem in honor of her and asked me to help her paste it all over the university, it was her last wish, she took her own life, I couldn't save her. Anna and I wanted to be teachers in the future, and we always talked about working together one day. But I honored her wish with dedication and love, and while I was pasting the poems all over the university, I played this song for some reason. Anna will always be my inexhaustible source of inspiration. All the classes I give will be for her, she will always be the angel of my profession, and she will always be with me. Now you are free, Anna. I will see you again, but not yet, not yet.

The whole of Rome will carry him, a general who became a slave, a slave who defeated an emperor, there before Rome's eyes, a leader, a true great leader, had died before them, he could have made Rome wonderful, rid of it's corruption, he could have gone to war and still have his soldiers full support and loyalty, on that day, they lost a true emperor, a true protector of Rome, maybe he did need to go, maybe he did make a difference, but his legacy will last as long as Rome, Maximus Decimus Meridius, Protector of Rome.

@element11118 жыл бұрын
Canadiana O Movies have become social propaganda tools. Either that, or they're just regurgitating stories that have already been told to death. I've drifted away from movies completely, and have come closer to games - which occasionally tell great stories without the Hollywood-esque tropes. Let's just put it this way - movies no longer have directors like Kubrick of Lynch (or even a Spielberg/Scott of old).
@ToRcKHD8 жыл бұрын
Salah yeah i dont know what this movie had but, the fighting was great, everything felt very authentic and you felt the character, even the bad guys, maybe hollywood needs to go and watch its own old movies and learn a thing or 2.

Personally this film did not teach me what it meant to be a man, i was to young to understand, though after going through so much shit and agony, i started to think more for myself instead of blindly following people. Now i refuse to be chained up, i refuse to pretend to be someone else. I'd rather be alone then be with people around me who wouldn't stomach me because i wont act a certain way. If that is a aspect of what it means of being a man i think i am a step closer of understanding what it truly is.

What a nonsensical statement. Humanity is corrupt and evil. This song is pure and sincere. Yet it was a human being who composed this song. Your logic is faulty. So either humanity is not corrupt and evil, in which case it can produce songs like this, or it is, in which case it can't. Or possibly it could do this even if it were corrupt and evil. Mothers are free to mourn their losses, as are fathers (again, nothing to do with what I said). To say that this music comes from humanity is not to degrade it, but to make it infinitely more valuable, because it shows what humans are capable of, despite all their flaws and faults.

Its music, its love, and a part if everyone who has witnessed his music. I for one know, that I will throw a party and celebrate is life the day its over. The day his is over, is the same day another like im will be born. I hope when Heaven welcomes him, they play this song, and many of his other ones. It brings tears and goosebumps to my eyes till today from the first time I heard it. There is so much sorrow in this art, some deep love for lost one, a heart that is crying and yearning for that love again. Something about this is very spiritual, it gets deep into your soul. This is what true gift sounds like. My mum passed away in Oct 2021. I didn’t see her for 17 years I left Africa when I was 17 years old from a refugee camp, while I was in Australia studying to become an engineer and saving money to go back to Africa and buy her a house. All the things I was doing to bring to her including my honour degree in engineering, working as engineer in Australia, just to one day come home and say mum I did it, we did it. A month just before I could travel to Africa, Covid restrictions hits, and just like that my mum suddenly passed away. A great lesson to everyone. Life is too short to wait for the right time. This song is in her memory. Mum we will meet again, I long for your warmth hugs

I'm sorry you lost your mom. You can be sure she is now safe in Gods memory now. But do you know that there will come a time when you will be able to see your mother again here on earth? God promises this in the bible where it says according to Revelations 21:3-5 ...,,with that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” And the One seated on the throne said: “Look! I am making all things new.” Also he says: “Write, for these words are faithful and true.” Jesus the Son of God put it this way:.."John 5:28 ...you shouldn't be surprised, because the time will come when all, who are in the graves will hear Gods voice and will come out. He means that there will be a time on earth when everyone who has lost someone, will be able to hold them in the arms again and welcome to the new world, a life on earth in peace without sicknesses, disease and misfortune. In Matthew 11:28-30 Jesus says ..."come to me, all you who are toiling and loaded down, and I will refresh you. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am mild-tempered and lowly in heart, and you will find refreshment for yourselves. For my yoke is kindly, and my load is light.” If you are interested I send you an very hopegiving article with the theme ,,good news from god" www.jw.org/en/library/books/good-news-from-god/what-hope-for-the-dead/ and I'm sure that this article will motivate you and build you up, because the future look's much better than most of the people expect because God loves you and what he promises will not fail. I wish you all the best for your future and send you my best greetings, Michel

This song.... it speaks to me in a language that I can understand inside. I feel a very happy feeling, like I could live forever. I adore this song and wish for everyone to feel this feeling. If all people could feel this feeling that I feel, war would not exist. I have never in my life have ever felt this kind of emotional power until my grandma and grampa passed. The writers/singers who had a hand in this song has my eternal blessing.

Translation: Almighty Freedom Almighty freer of the soul Be free Walk with me Through the golden fields So lovely Lovely We regret our sins, but.. We sew our own fate and Under my face I remain feeble Under my face, I smile. Ahhhh... Even alone (or afraid) Under my face I will be waiting Run with me now soldier of Rome Run and play in the field with the ponies. Run with me now soldier of Rome Run and play in the field with the ponies. Run with me now soldier of Rome Run and play in the field with the ponies. Run with me now soldier of Rome Run and play in the field with the ponies. Almighty Freedom Almighty freer of the soul Be free Be free And imagine Free with peace at last It's lovely It's lovely, this land No one can believe or understand How far I came just for my lovely family I should have been there With them when the world crashed down But now they rest with me. I'll never forget How I felt that moment I became free...

I can't think of a better song to play at my funeral. Thank you universe for bringing hope to humanity for bringing this film into existance. A warrior/ Gladiator that leads from the heart is the way to tackle and navigate any challenge and trial. This film reminds me that with honour we will eventually be honoured, in spite of persecution. Our soul loves a challenge. Our heart knows it.

Probably the greatest piece of music in the modern era, this song and movie means so much to me. Nothing for me can compare to this masterpiece of art in both music and cinematography and will always truly be number one. It resonates with so many people and this is something to be cherished as we probably won't have anything so beautiful produced again due to time.

Yes brilliant music. Brilliant film. Brilliant acting. Whilst Russell Crowe was the star of the film, J,Phoenix was excellent. You really hated his character and he portrayed it excellently.

First time I saw Gladiator I was 11 or 12, my dad was watching it in the basement so I watched it with him. Around that time I also got Oblivion so I was just getting into fantasy. This movie and it’s soundtrack will forever remind me of my dad, and being a kid, wish I could go back to those days sometimes.
