God do I love Sabre! She is by far my favourite Gladiator on the reincarnated series! The new series isn't perfect but with a few changes (bringing back Atlas balls/more classic events and changing the presenters) it will be amazing. I've really been loving that Gladiators is back and popular again, with over 8 million live viewers for each episode meaning that a second series should be in the bag at this point. I just hope the producers make a few minor tweaks to the show and it'll be back to it's best. I really hope that Sabre stays on the show too. I know she was injured but will hopefully continue after she makes a full recovery.

This episode was a total joke. First of all, Bronte (the amazing winner!) who won legitimately in the heat shouldn’t have even been competing against someone who originally lost, regardless of whether they were a runner up or not. The only reason Sasha even had a headstart was because she was handed a free win from Diamond in The Edge. Secondly, a contender like Wesley who didn’t even originally compete in the heat should never have been allowed in the quarter finals 😂😂. Yea I understand the original guy Finlay was injured but surely they could have replaced him with a second runner up from the male side instead of using someone who didn’t even actually compete to get to the quarter finals and is now in the semi’s 😂. What an absolute joke lmao. And the only reason he won was because his opponent was injured and had to opt out of all those points from The Gauntlet.

But looking at it again I see why it makes sense now since there are 5 winners (both male and female) and therefore one of them will have to end up facing a runner up and not another winner. That’s just to do with the first point I made. What you said there is exactly what I meant, “But there should always be a slot for the fastest L in the heats”. Exactly so, which brings out the question to me as to why on Earth they decided to bring a contender who didn’t even have to go through the heat. Would you not call that an unfair advantage? I’m talking about Wesley here. My only continuing interaction with the show is this discussion... which I think is probably about to come to an end with us agreeing to disagree and moving on having realised that none of this actually really matters. In answer to your initial comment, I don't watch wrestling, I think it's silly. And I am able to differentiate between a character portrayed by an actor, and the actor themselves (in most cases)... but then I do believe actors are indeed, acting.

Id love to know what kind of people you come across if having such a massive ego and giving yourself a name superheros would cringe it is just the norm 😂 A few of them have even done actual acting gigs, while others have done interviews for other projects where surprise surprise they come off as actual human beings nothing like their gladiator character. Plus tbf the entire show is aimed mostly at kids or families with kids, I've got a feeling you don't quite fit that demographic so characters designed to make children mad probably won't have the same desired impact on yourself. Take what people say about tom and jerry, where kids a rooting for the mouse but once you grow up a bit you start to feel sorry for tom. Theres some toddlers who will refuse to watch shows because it's for 'babies' as they've realised it's not aimed at them anymore as they've aged

People are so miserable and critical of the slightest thing these days and look at past seasons of Gladiators with rose-tinted goggles. The new series is getting 8 million + live viewers with each episode so it's clear that the vast majority love the new series of Gladiators.

The Gladiators are clearly at a disadvantage with the flimsy pads they've given them. Look how easily they bend. Skinny, lightweight contestants just run through them. Ridiculous. No wonder the Gladiators were throwing them and just trying to tackle the contestant. Give the Gladiators better equipment, like real rugby shields, or just scrap this game. It embarrasses the Gladiators, and it's boring to watch.

I hated the new gladiators remake. What I hated the most were the absolutely useless contestants. Total bunch of pansies with childish delusions of grandeur. Look at original gladiators contestants like Phil Norman, Steve Quick, Roland and Deano. Absolutely brilliant athletes and strong men. They new gen contestants were a total disgrace. BBC better redeem itself by finding proper athletes and strong men to go up against the glads.

tbf even the male gladiators haven't put up much of a fight, this version of Gauntlet, with rules *against* actually stopping them, is a bit of joke.

I think it's because the one contenders leg thing and being replaced has basically nullified this part of the competition, so they just did everything for show, like this or the other contender forfeitting for no reason only to catch up on a 25 second gap etc. The show needed to go on, so they made one.
