Fascinating shots and you care about the well-being of a Sea Urchin. I appreciate that. Kudos.

That might be the longest YT vid I've ever watched. Very interesting. When going thru all that floating stuff, it reminded me of driving in a snow storm on the highway with minimum visibility (and with Winter coming up, not a good thought). Surprised we didn't see more creatures, but what we saw was pretty cool. Thanks for sharing. cheers.
@DustinDunnill7 жыл бұрын
+Bill Somrak lol bill. You say that on all my long videos. I know exactly what you mean about the snow but we like to imagine it as stars zipping by in hyperspace. It was a bit more baron than expected out there but I'm happy to have captured what was around. I'll go deeper soon 👍

Dustin, next time turn your lights down you wont get some much scattering from the plankton in the water column. Have a go with the lights off as well, to see if the camera has any low light capability,

They should put floats on the tether so it stays well out of the way of the rocks below.

This was maybe 3rd or fourth time using it. If your good with RC cars or drones it is easy.

Dustin Dunnill I’m good with RC cars and small scale helicopters but what your doing at nite, looking on a screen is not an easy task, my hat goes off to ya!

Thanks. Maybe practice with some above ground FPV and get the hang of flying / driving strictly by screen / camera before the sea 😅👍

O boy, I really want one of these ROVs. But they are a bit pricey right now, but hopefully that will change in time. Nice to have something fun to do when the wind is to strong for rc flying. Looks like the ROV is alot easier to locate in the water when it is dark. Just surface and locate the Rov by its light.

Hi Dustin Been watching all your videos with the Gladius, last time it cost me £850 for the Parrot Disco Lol, now i'm looking into getting the Gladius, I have a Deep Trekker DTG2, it's a great ROV, I bout it from them asan ex display model, but it hasn't got a compass so sometimes I go round in circles and not realize, and the only way of getting 4k would be to strap a Gopro to it, this is the video from my one, it's not to bad, but its analog video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qnzEhKargpKni8k I notest that you bumped into the coral a bit, How does it stand up to that, is there any noticeable damage to the unit. I wish I could try it out for maneuverability compared to the Deep Trekker, but I think having 4K and a compass would be worth it, it would cost $6,123.00 for the DTG with a 75M tether and an extra $3,748.75 for 4K + import Tax and delivery to the UK. It would be good if you could change the video to say 1080 at 60 or a 100 frames, to smooth out the video movement blur. Keep the reviews coming, there a great help, Thanks G
@DustinDunnill6 жыл бұрын
+beesleyboy Hey, yes the Gladius is very affordable compared. The company is working on and have fixed most of the issues I've encountered in my reviews. I'll be also reviewing the PowerRay and also CCROV submersibles so far this year also 👍
@beesleyboy6 жыл бұрын
I was looking at the PowerRay, but it hasn't got the two top motors and it won't go as deep as the Gladius + it has a short tether. the CCROV looks cool, but a bit more expensive if you want the longer tether and there website isn't that good on the info of it. looking forward to the reviews though.
