This has a ‘Northern Soul ‘ groove that might’ve attracted Adam to it , Gladys Knight along with Karen Carpenter in the 70’s had the 2 most recognisable and sumptuous female voices of that decade - I don’t like this particular song , but in general I do like Gladys and her interchangeable, unnamed Pips 😅 👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
