I’m feeling really frustrated and overwhelmed right now about my NCLEX exam. I've tried so hard and even used resources like Archer Qbank and UWorld, but I still haven’t been able to pass. It’s disheartening to fail twice, and I’m starting to feel defeated. I thought these tools would help me, but they just didn’t work out for me. I’m at a point where I really don’t know what to do next. I want to be a licensed nurse so badly, but I need some guidance on how to move forward. If anyone has advice or recommendations on how to tackle this, I would really appreciate it.

Review your in correct and correct answer rationales. Archer qbank is good, but difficult to understand. Don't be demotivated. Or you can Use Sarah’s review a lot of testimonies about her from students she helped.

Set your pace and don't forget to breath give ur self a break, always remember that you're not the only one who's having a mental breakdown, just never give up on something u want to achieve and just focus into 2 or 3 reviews so that you wouldn't get crammed while u were reading. Wish u best of luck.

literally on the same boat as you! used uworld and failed, then kaplan, then archer, then mark k & simple nursing. feels like i’ve really exhausted all options 🥲 now i’m using Sarah’s review i’ve done some case studies and standalone questions, completed my first readiness assessment. i’m really liking Sarah’s too! good luck with your studying 🫶🏻🫶🏻

I'm 55 years old and began my prerequisites for Nursing school in 2018. I just want to thank you for suggesting that it's okay to study by yourself. That's great for me because its easy to get off topic and forget the real purpose for the study group. I was also encouraged when you said to know what the illness/disease or problem looks like, to be able to treat the patient correctly! Great ideas!!!

Thank you so so so much 😃 I really needed to see this video. I am in the LPN to RN program too. I recently failed my 1st Med-Surg test and felt so overwhelmed, because I was wasted more time reading 3 chapters and less time studying. We also used the same book. Once again thank you so much.

Can you tell me about your prerequisite courses before getting in to nursing school what where grades like just trying to know what to aim for? Also did you take teas or Heisi how was it?
@GlamGirl0824
@GlamGirl0824 4 жыл бұрын
@@chinyerevwa2714 A&P 1&2, Microbiology, and Chemistry are some major classes and of course any classes that are required to get to those classes like intro to Biology for example. My school requires a C or better but the school I went to for LPN required a B or better for all science classes and if your science class we’re 5 or more years old you had to retake them 🤦🏾‍♀️ I refused to do that bc even though my A&P classes were past 5 years I had just finished microbiology with an A which is a higher level than A&P but they said I had to redo those class to get in the RN program. So I just went to a different school 😂 . I had to take the Teas test to get in the program I’m in now

Hi there. I also liked doing nclex questions that related to the topic I was studying.. even though I didn't fully understand at that time the rationale for getting them right or wrong at the beginning this helped big time. I find that the questions were very similar to not only exam questions but it made actually taking the nclex a breeze. Passed my exam on the 1st try cut off I belive was 76 questions 😅. I was the type to study alone. I get too distracted in a study group... I also did the flash card thing... flash cards for everything... I did however read the chapters when I had the time after focusing on what the teacher taught on in my spare time. There's no point in reading things before class really because the teacher may just pass over that topic all together. That's where my nclex questions come into play because it covered topics that may not have been covered. So I by the end of my nursing program was doing up to 200 nclex questions daily. Yes, it seems like alot but it helped big time! Time management Is a biggie for me. I never used the planner but I'm sure my life would have been a lot eiser. I would also recommend no extra relationships if that can be helped because alot of times friends ect don't understand that you must study 😉 I had to sacrifice fun time, movie time ect to get that study in. I belive that anyone can be successful! Just put in that work. Oh and I had every nclex book under the sun, nclex app ect. So if I was at work or whatever I had that app open doing those questions. I pretty much totally submerged myself in everything nursing smh. I came up for air just for work and for physical exercise which made a huge difference too.

Great video, wat u said was true … study groups are good some of the time. Flash cards are truly meant to be short simple and sweet. You should do a NCLEX question 🙋🏾‍♀️ video.

Thank you for this! Out of all the videos I've watched, this one has the best tips for nursing school. I just have a question. I'm not sure if you used this book, but In the Saunders NCLEX-RN book, it sections the diseases as 'Description', 'Types', 'Assessment', and 'Intervention.' In this case, would Nurse Management be under 'Interventions'?

Is “Nursing Mgmt” the same as Nursing Interventions? I’m in an LPN program and would love to be able to apply your tips to my studying. I just don’t want to mess up & want to be sure I study the right info. I’ve spent many hours studying and I want to get the most out of it instead of over studying.
@GlamGirl0824
@GlamGirl0824 3 жыл бұрын
Interventions are treating the problem and Mgmt is maintaning their health and safety.... For example if someone comes in with high blood sugars your intervention would be giving insulin... if a patient comes in with a low platelet count then your nursing mgmt would be making sure not to give injections or apply pressure to site for 5 + mins bc they may bleed out. Be aware that sometimes they will combine the 2.. Hope this helps
