I am over 60 and I love love your videos. Why wouldn't one want to look 10 years younger?? I cannot understand why one would want to look old, if there are make up suggestions and cosmetics to help one look younger. I will try everything to look my best. And i dont care about so called "make up rules" for senior women. I put on my face whatever makes me feel good and younger. You looked beautiful before, but you look absolutely georgeous now. The dark hair and dark eye make up look soooo much better on you. Makes you look much younger and much more beautiful. Simply georgeous. Please continue your great work of teaching us senior ladies how to look younger so we can feel good and confident❤

Maria, I prefer to think of it as wanting to look 10 YEARS BETTER!! As Gabi said due to lack of knowledge and experience we often don’t know how to make the BEST OF OUR OWN BEAUTY and do a better job NOW of bringing out our best features like skin, hair, smile, body shape and I think that’s incredibly important to our Self Care and Self CONFIDENCE and there’s NOTHING “Sad” about that! 💞

Ms Gabi I am 53 years old and I started using Tretinoin 6 months ago and I will admit it has been rough because I developed a nasty case of Perioral Dermatitis. My Derm doctor prescribed a round of Doxycycline and it has made a world of difference. My face looks amazing now and I will never stop using Tretinoin! It is so worth the issues! Best of luck!!!

Gabi, great tips! I have been wearing sunscreen every day since I was 19 years old, although the sunscreens are far better than they were at the time. I started using retinol and glyolic in my mid 20s. As for microcurrent, I can't agree more. I have nuface, but now I want try yours! I also recommend getting microcurrent facials if you are able in your area. When I was in NYC, I used to go to Carmel O'Neil, who is an expert and did it monthly as a boost. Your tips are great. I feel Gabi was just giving her experience of what she has gone through & providing advice to anyone who wants to hear about it. As with any advice I take what I like & leave the rest. That being said, there is a beauty tip that I have learned & it was kinda touched on in the comments. The beauty tip is to Let go of the worries, anger, sadness etc.. find a way to let these things go. Don’t look to the external things to bring you happiness, peace, calm etc..For me anger was weighing me down & it showed in my face. Realeasing the emotional baggage is helping my body & soul. Thanks Gabi.💚

Congratulations on your 5 years on KZbin. I love your videos and think that you are gorgeous no matter the style. As a former Permanent Makeup artist myself, I totally agree with you about he permanent makeup. I would advice against it because more often than not, it either ends up looking harsh and unnatural and/or it could damage the skin and cause bold spots on the eyebrows. I no longer do permanent makeup, but even the best artists can make mistakes... and some inks are very hard to remove.
@GlamGirlGabi9 ай бұрын
What made you stop doing it? Honestly, I agree. Some artists are SO AMAZING but as an MUA, and living in this climate where it is SO POPULAR now, I have seen it look absolutely terrible more times than I would like to admit. I always sigh (internally) when someone comes in with heavy permanent makeup because it is SO HARD for me to work on a face like that and make it look really good.

I used to use tretinoin but I stopped since I now know it is toxic. You need a prescription and pregnant women should not use it. I removed anything toxic such as fluoride and fluoridated water and alcohol from my body. It impeded my thyroid function. Since I stopped, my thyroid has returned to normal. The function of the thyroid is too important to put toxic chemicals into the body. A simple over the counter retin A and monthly microneedling sessions done at home and at a spa is all I do and I’m 61.

I have used a lot of City Beauty products over two years sucking into the hype. They have increased their marketing with influencers and likely supply is on back order. That happened with NIRA last year. Months of delay due to more demand from the Black Friday sale than in stock. That said, I have stopped using City Beauty products. Even though they offer lots of sales and discount codes, I feel it is still overpriced and a little gimmicky with all the special potions targeting this and that. I get better results through Naturium and Strata products, or KBeauty via Amazon. Just being honest.

Starting to wear SPF daily at age 17 and avoiding sun was my smartest choice when it comes to skin care. I started using retinol last year, but SPF really did something, it might be also influenced by genetics but I look 22 at 32 and get questioned about my age constantly. SPF does wonders. I tried tretinoin, I think it's very irritating, so I just got back to my usual retinol serum. Might tackle tretinoin in the future.

Hey Gabi, just came here to say I bought the ZIIP Halo on your advice about a month ago and honestly I don’t know how I ever lived without it. Besides noticing the lift in my face and less texture in certain spots, my skin is so soft and holds moisture so much better. It’s like this thing has opened pathways for my skincare products to absorb more fully. So thanks a million for that tip! I also use some of the Alumier products and they are great! Thanks again Gabi. Have a Merry Christmas with your lovely family xx

Number 1 step to prevent acne and break outs are bacteria free makeup tools. Brushes, sponges, powder puffs etc. need to be cleaned thoroughly after each makeup application in soap, then rinsed, and then finally soaked in boiling water or alcohol. Also make sure to get rid of old and expired beauty products.

I totally agree. Alot of the brows down were way to dark , too big .I call them man brows. So glad that look is going out of style. I found alot of younger woman had these permanently done. Probably trying to fix now.

I recently started tretinoin 3 months ago to help with skin texture issues at age 58. The learning has been interesting. I'm still not sure what serums/actives to use at night and morning. Vitamin C serums in the morning seem to cause irritation right now. I am hanging in there and hope to learn more. I am not fearful of aging but find it nice to know better how to work with what I have, like thin upper lip, hooded eyes, etc. Thank you for always being so sweetly transparent in your videos. Hugs to you!

It’s probably cringe to you because you didn’t had all that work done. To me you looked naturally pretty.

I had my brows down, and so regret it. I look like I used a sharpie and I've been wanting to have them lazered off and was told it couldn't be done cuz it was to close to my eyes. So please tell me who you went to see to remove your eyebrows🙏🙏🙏

I lost all my brows due to menopause so I opted to have them tattooed semi permanently. There’s no way I was going to draw them in every day or worry about them coming off with water or sweat. I really wish there was another permanent solution (besides a transplant)or a sure way to grow them back.

I *love* my sleep & glow pillow!!! I got the silk case, too, and wake with perfect hair! I have 2 friends with permanent brows, and they look bad and, really bad. Would love more details on Tret. I use a retinol, but I want something stronger, especially around the eyes pls!

Thanks for sharing!! It’s a great pillow. It took me about two weeks to get used to it because I was always sleeping on big, fluffy, very soft pillows but now I’m committed. I have the silk pillowcases two (I have two to alternate between).
